Lizzie in Ma
No tackling, enjoying!! Making a beef stew for supper because we are unclear on when the outlaws will be arriving and it will keep nicely. My last two presents are coming today! Getting the wood stove going as our little warm spell is going away. A little tricky with no kindling but I can do it. Vacuuming is in order I think, but just the main room, I already did the upstairs. Rearranging youngest's room to get the air mattress in there for her sister while outlaws are here. Listening to Boston Pops Holiday songs, old school with Arthur Fiedler, just like when I was growing up! Need to grab my cinnamon buns for Christmas morning out of the freezer to thaw. MysteryJen
Prayers here, Tammy. My morning started great and then as I was walking with the kids to the car, we watched a VW van run into my car in the parking lot! We were just standing there watching..."They just hit my car." I kept muttering. It was a pretty good hit, the car rocked back. I drove it to dh's work and he will take care of it. I don't want to be obnoxious or difficult, but I don't want to go to only one car if it is not my fault. I still can't believe I saw it. But I still have to do some stuff today. Mail cards laundry edit a late essay grade a final wrap a few gifts finish cleaning up downstairs call mil go to the store decorate cookies at my mother's PM practice: swimming, climbing, water polo
Jean in Newcastle
Jen - they didn't stop? Did you write down their license plate? Tammy - praying I had a very tough night. - Was up from about 3 to 6 am maybe? Got back to sleep and then was woken up by the telephone at 9 (I never ever sleep that late) with a call from the vet. I want to go back to sleep! But everyone is up now and it's "Mooooom!" and "What do we do about. . . !" Hopefully I'll get a nap later. I realized that I didn't put down my habits: Get in steps Monitor blood sugar and blood pressure Digestive enzymes No rice Keep living room tidy Green smoothie 10 min. dog grooming (I have to bathe Rocky today.) MysteryJen
No, after she hit my car, she parked right next to me! I was standing there with 4 of my kids, and she got out and said, "Oh, I wondered if I hit your car." I was holding a piece of my plastic grill in my hand! I got all her info and license plate number. I was in a fender bender about 3 years ago at this same time of year and it took forever to get things fixed. Just getting a new bumper will take ages, I am afraid. I felt a little bad dumping it on dh, but I hate that stuff. I have joked that I got married so I would never have to talk to insurance people again.

MysteryJen
Krissi, your list made me so tired, I was glad I took a nap. I have gotten nothing done. But the nap was great! I have about 45 minutes before I have to leave for my mom's and practices. I better get working. Jean, I hope you feel better and Tress, way to go on the steps! Jean in Newcastle
Ack! I am so tired that I'm wandering around my house in circles. First I lost the checks I needed to take to the bank. I finally found them in my purse. I don't remember putting them there. Then I went to get something else and saw half of my meds just sitting on the counter. I took half of them and forgot to finish taking the rest. . . Now I've taken them. Then I couldn't remember where I put my list. . . I am finally out the door. I think.
Jean in Newcastle
4 hours of errands with dd ended with me being in a world of pain. So much so that it was difficult driving home. Dd called when we were almost home and alerted dh who was there with ds to unload the car and get me up into my armchair. I'm doing a bit better after dinner but not much. Dh has offered to get that one last small present for dd. Thank goodness for websites where I can show him exactly what I was going to get her. :001_smile: Bedtime is earlier tonight and I think there will be a hot bath in there somewhere. MysteryJen
Oh Jean. I hope you get a good night's sleep. I am home. dd2 was too tired for water polo, so we got home a bit earlier. Dh took care of the car and we are waiting to see if the person will pay cash or we will have to involve insurance. He thinks she might refuse to pay for a rental, but I am firm. I will be without my car for 9 days. I need a car. I was not at fault even a little bit. I was not even in my car! And I really don't like driving dh's car (it's a stick and annoying in traffic). I have to go in and talk to dh. I begged for a few minutes by myself and I think I have used up my time. Have a good night everyone!

Jean in Newcastle
If anyone is still awake, I'm appreciate if you shoot a prayer or two up for me. I was telling dh goodnight and he said "What's wrong with your mouth?" My tongue is so swollen it is hard to talk. And I keep biting my tongue. My throat is still so swollen too. (It's this virus.) I'm going to bed but I might be in too much pain to sleep much.
