Susan Wise Bauer
Some of you may know that I own a bed & breakfast on a corner of Peace Hill Farm. It's a lovely old farmhouse, the rooms are beautiful, and the hosts are welcoming (and amazingly good cooks). It's very family-friendly but we've just opened up an even more family-friendly option: the Publisher's Cottage. It sleeps up to 6 people easily, more with just a little bit of shoehorning. There's a washer/dryer and full kitchen. We're a 25-minute drive from Williamsburg and the Historic Triangle, 50 minutes from historic Richmond, and just minutes away from the colonial plantations along Route 5 in Charles City. Plus you can visit my sheep and feed apples to Max the Giant Draft Horse. Here's the B&B site: http://peacehillbb.com/ and the Publisher's Cottage page in particular: http://peacehillbb.com/rooms-publishers-cottage.php OK, commercial over. Thanks for being part of the boards and Peace Hill Press (the B&B business helps to support the work of the Press). SWB P.S. Book before Christmas, tell the hosts you saw this post on the WTM Forums, and get a 10% discount.

Chris in VA
Looks like a great idea for dh's Christmas present! Does it usually fill up in December?
Susan Wise Bauer
Weekends in December fill up pretty quickly--during the week is much lighter. Lots of folks come to see the Christmas decorations and programs in Colonial Williamsburg. SWB

Tammyla
Your Inn looks like the perfect place to relax and get away for a few days. If we get back to the area, I would love to stay in such a beautiful place.

laughing lioness
If I didn't love you (in a removed, heroine worshiping type of way) I would be even more insanely jealous of you than I am already.
