Esse Quam Videri
We are trying to decide what to get for some friends. They have 5 kids ages 13 and under. And yes, I'm a bit late, so it has to be something I can easily get in stores or with Amazon prime. We were thinking $15 or less. What would you get? Cassy
Some nice pencil crayons, or other art supplies?
runbikeswim
Either a board game (2 favorites for all ages are blokus and apples to apples) or food, like a huge tub of caramel popcorn or something.
BrookValley.
What about a gift card for a relatively inexpensive treat, like ice cream? It may take a bit more than $15 to make it happen, but if you could bump up to $20 or $25, I bet you could get a card that would treat the whole family. We have places like Bruster's around here that would be great for that (I think most things are around $3 to $4 on their menu). Coldstone Creamery, in my experience, is more expensive, so your dollars might not go far enough there. Other than that, the only thing I can come up with is something homemade (and it sounds like you're trying to find something quicker than that). Reya
Ditto on Rush Hour--my SIL loved this as a teen, and my kids love it now. It's like crack. :) My dd has loved it since she was 3.

NittanyJen
Forbidden Island is $15. Mexican Train is $17, and it may be easier to understand for the younger ones that Forbidden Island, though FI is cool, because it is cooperative rather than competitive-- in Forbidden Island, you all win together or all lose together. Pit is a blast for families, and educational as well. If you can manage $25, a Kiva Gift Card is an interesting idea, and the kids can all learn about the whole micro-loan process, developing countries, and invest and as the loan is repaid, reinvest over and over again, while learning a tremendous amount about economics. ByGrace3
A game. Like Spot It or just several decks of cards, even. And some popcorn. Game night in a box? Yup, this! I was thinking Spot It. Maybe coupled with another card game and popcorn in a cute popcorn bowl of some sort...
