Mommamia
I rec'd some funds through PayPal and have no idea why. I have some things listed for sale, but nothing for the amount rec'd. There is no address or info attached. Just the persons name. What would you do?
besroma
I would notify Paypal. I would also try to contact the sender at the e-mail address they used. That is strange.

Pippen
If you're married and already haven't, check with your husband before contacting paypal.
Mommamia
Thanks for your input. Checked with husband- no clue either. Pain in my butt trying to get some help from PayPal. Ughhhhh
twinmami01
It should have provided the email address for the person who sent the funds. It is quite difficult to contact paypal, not sure why, but I hope you get this resolved soon. Mommamia
It is so strange....no email,no address. The name is a bit suspicious, but it could just be me playing detective. I won't say the name for the chance it may be real, but the last part is "laughter" the first part is almost a saying. Hope this makes sense. If it is an email, I would disregard it as a phishing spam.
Mommamia
I received an email and then also saw it in my PayPal account. Now I am nervous:001_huh:
Mommamia
Wait...I found an email. Should I contact the person directly? I am so skeptical of everything lately.

QuirkyKapers
I think I would contact paypal since this isn't familiar to you and have them look into it.
Catwoman
Wait...I found an email. Should I contact the person directly? I am so skeptical of everything lately. NO! NO! NO! Contact PayPal ONLY. This sounds like it could be a scam. Call PayPal on the phone and get it straightened out. And IMMEDIATELY change your PayPal password to something long and complex. cjgrubbs
Definetly change the password immediately and to something really strong.

SebastianCat
That happened to me last year. Someone hacked into another person's account, sent money to my account, then hacked my account and used my account to purchase games through XBox. I ended up getting stuck for about $20 of the charges, but the person whose account was hacked first got stuck with nothing. Contact Paypal ASAP - you can contact them via email or through a form on their website, rather than over the phone. Don't wait.
Scarlett
Well it is probably a scam of some sort. I was going to suggest you send it to Wendy. ;)
