rgrin
She NEEDS surgery, but she's waffling...:glare: She's 5'1", 100 lbs, and had 3 babies over 9 pounds each. The youngest is nearly two. She has separated abdominal muscles, and a hernia. She can FEEL her colon trying to push through. It's been getting worse over the past two years. She's at the point where she can't sit, stand, walk, or lay down in comfort. Her insurance won't cover the surgery. Apparently there's been too much insurance fraud using this condition as an excuse for a free tummy-tuck. Money is tight, and she still thinks she can ride it out until money works out, but she is in such pain. Her husband has a week of work coming up at the end of September, and a specialist has said that she needs the surgery bad enough that they will squeeze her in that week if necessary. But she is still undecided. Please pray for her and her family as they deal with her pain, their finances, and the decision-making process. Catwoman
Praying for her! One thing, though -- her surgeon should be able to demonstrate to the insurance company that your sister needs the surgery for medical reasons. Why isn't he doing that for her?

Insurance says they will not cover this or that, but if a true need is demonstrated rules can be bent. My son needed a medicine that was very expensive to help with nausea during chemo, and after some arguing we got it covered even though the ins. co. originally said tht other cheaper meds could be used (they did not work for my son).
