Ok sooo.. what did you do with him? Can they swim? Did you pull the hose from beneath him so he could practice his synchronized swimming techniques? just wondering...... I'd say go ahead and swim, thats what the pool chemicals are for---

TravelingChris
Last week, I found a mole in the pool, and the next day, a bat. Last week , we had a mole in our pool. We believe that is what dropped by a bird from the injury pattern. We also had a morning dove dropped into our bird bath. That may have been dropped from a predator in our palm tree but I don't know if that would be an opposum or a raccoon. We do have snakes but they don't take bites out. We just waited to swim until after our pool guy came on Monday. (We threw out the mole on Thursday)

Tammyla
We have tons of squirrels and they never mess with our pool. An owl landed on the last one and enjoyed a good drink. He was our only pool critter other than bugs of course. :iagree: and than invest in a good cover. I would like a pool, but scared the squirrels would have a field day. Amy loves Bud
Oh, it will be fine. I used to swim in ponds as a kid, and I'm still here! Yeah, I'm not really worried about the germs, it's the ICK factor. Shudder.
Amy loves Bud
The squirrels seem to be smart enough to stay away. But this is the second rat. Creeps me out just saying that.

Amy loves Bud
ARe you crazy? He was okay, just because Bud and I can't deal. We threw him over the fence...into the neighbor's yard. Was that bad? (The house is in foreclosure and we're buying it, but still, it's not ours yet!)
Amy loves Bud
Yeah, we caught him in the pool net and threw him over the fence. We are bad neighbors. We're swimming. It's gonna be a lot of fun to sneak up on the kids and lightly tickle their back while I yell, "RAT!"

Kim in Appalachia
Thankfully, we have boys. I was grossed out, but the boys thought it was neat. They couldn't wait to see it! I had my oldest son (who is 8) take out the basket and fling the thing into the wood pile. We all swam once it was gone.
paula j
The worst part is that before he went for a swim he probably was on your bar-b-que grill, patio furniture, maybe even in your house.:tongue_smilie: My df and her dh were out in their lake boat pulling their dd behind on a tube when df lifted the storage bench to look for some sun screen and there was a rat looking back at her. Df went crazy and was screaming and her dh used his fishing net to scoop up the rat and threw him into the water but unfortunately he landed right by their dd who then started screaming and jumped out of the tube. Df's hubby said he wished he had a camera.
