Impish
Diva is...errr...extremely verbally expressive. We were teasing her about it, and she announced that she could stop talking any time. So, we bet her $5 that she couldn't keep from talking until tomorrow am. 15 mins and counting of silence. Best use of $5 EVER!!
Impish
It's almost unnerving...the silence....
QuirkyKidAcademy
We had a similar bet with DS10 - it was only a dollar and only 11miles home - but he still lost. Good luck, Diva!

GoVanGogh
I may have to try that with DS. He hums. Constantly. :tongue_smilie: Enjoy your quiet. While it lasts.
Starr
You're torturing the poor girl. Give in, give her the $5.00 . :D It's been an hour.
Sandy in Indy
It's amazing what kids will do to win a bet! I once had a bet with a student who NEVER turned in his homework. If he turned in EVERY assignment one quarter, I had to go see a movie of his choice (and not cover my eyes). I don't remember what I would have won. Of course, he turned in every stinking assignment, and I had to go see The Terminator. Ugh. :-) Hope you're still enjoying more quiet time! Belacqua
I haven't refreshed a page so frequently since those eagles in Iowa were hatching.
LaxMom
I'm glued to it, too! I have my own Loquacious Lulu and can probably track down a fiver somewhere... I guess borrowing from her wouldn't be cool, right?
MamaT
I tried paying my second son not to talk all the way to church when he was 11 - a 15 minute ride -but he just couldn't do it! Has she talked yet?
