ProudGrandma
I made this recipe for the super bowl party last evening. Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe - Food.com - 1209 It sat out on the table from 5-9. There is about half of it left. I brought it home and promptly put it in the fridge. Is it safe to eat the rest? Tap
Sorry, but I would toss it. To many dairy ingredients in the food 'danger zone' of warm/room temp for too long.
QuirkyKidAcademy
I'd eat it. I never ever waste spinach dip.
Catwoman
I'd toss it out, too. There are too many things in there that probably went bad because it was at room temperature for too long, and because it's a tasty recipe, you might not notice if something was a bit "off." ProudGrandma
in most cases, with the dairy stuff, I,too wouldn't risk it....the only reason I would think differently is that it was cooked....so the dairy stuff got hot....it was suppose to be a hot dish....not a cold one. Does that make a difference or not???
LucyStoner
I would not have eaten it fresh because I hate spinach dip HOWEVER, I would consider it likely safe to eat now if you like spinach dip. It is not going to kill you to give it a little taste and see.

Brigitte
I would reheat it and eat it.
ChristusG
I live by the motto "when in doubt, throw it out." Better to waste a little food than to have food poisoning, IMO.
Lady Marmalade
I would have no trouble eating it. Especially since it's a hot dip- get it all bubbly and gooey again and dig in.

Does that make a difference or not??? Hmmm...if it didn't have MAYO, I might consider reheating and eating. However, 2 rounds of food poisoning with DH was NOT fun. He actually ended up at the college infirmary, dehyrated and required IV and a shot of some nature. (Both cases involved Mayo...)
Cinder
Hmmm...if it didn't have MAYO, I might consider reheating and eating. :iagree: The mayo is a deal-breaker for me.
KidsHappen
Nope, the thread does not look too tasty to me. :tongue_smilie: I wouldn't eat the leftover either. :001_smile:
