Catherine
If youngest goes to high school, which I think he wants to do, I'll be 52. I'm going to increase work hours to full time (paying for multiple college educations at that point) and start pursuing my career more. I'd like to do research and more teaching. mama2cntrykids
I will be 51. Sigh...almost as old as my own mother. I have NO degree right now. Unless something changes, I'll probably be working at Wal-Mart. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I've btdt before, but not really what I *want* to be doing. Kwim? Aelwydd
Not sure yet how far we will take the hs'ing thing. When our son is 18, I will be 43.
BlsdMama
I officially started schooling in 2001 when oldest dd was five. Current youngest dd is seven months. Eighteen years from now is 2030. :) Of course this assumes no new babies for me, but I just turned 35. ;) Anyone care 2yo place bets on how likely that would be? dragons in the flower bed
I'll only be 42, unless I have more children. Homeschooling does define me (as much as any career choice). I think I will stay involved in the community in some way.
elise1mds
If I HS both kids all the way through high school (unlikely, as I suspect DD will want to go to a brick-and-mortar school with her peers), then I'll be 41 when she graduates. If she does go back to school at some point, then when DS graduates, I'll be 39.
sarahj
I'll be 54 when my youngest finishes 8th grade (current plan is to send them to private high school). If we decide to homeschool through high school, I'll be 58.
SailorMom
I'll be 41 :)
Lisa in the UP of MI
I'll be 47 when my soon-to-be-born baby will finish high school. We're not sure yet if he/she will be our last.
radiobrain
OMG, what a horrifying thought you've given me! If I did my math right (which I doubt) I will be 47 when my youngest would graduate from high school. Barring any surprises, that should be it. Stratford
If we make it all the way through with these 3 (and don't have any more) I'll be 48. I'll probably continue working....I don't know, I can't plan that far ahead. Edited February 6, 2012 by Stratford can't add
Kathryn
I'll be 48 if we're done having children.
jolley
I'll be 42. I am just starting to think about what I'll do afterwards.
jenangelcat
I guess it depends on when the kids are finished with high school level work. If that's at 16 then I'll be 47. We have no plans to retire. Hopefully the farm with be able to provide 100% of our income by then.
silliness7
I have 15 years left. So 55. My kids think that is hilarious. I think they picture me homeschooling in the nursing home. I anticipate picking up a part time job to help fund the younger's college. FAFSA will help the olders with so many dependents in the house I'm guessing/hoping. Plus, I'll go stir crazy. I used to work at the library and had dreams of working my way up, perhaps getting my Master's in library science. We'll see. And when I'm home I'll knit, knit, knit....for all those grandkids I'm expecting. Oh, and I want to be the kind of grandma where the grandkids come and play often. I didn't have that kind of grandmother and my kids don't have it either. :glare:
Tutor
I'll be 49. Dh and I are starting a business, so hopefully we'll be working at that in 10 years when ds8 graduates. We also hope to travel more, and we want to live for one year (at least) in NYC and are planning on moving as soon as the kids move out. We've both always dreamed about living in NY, so we are really looking forward to it! At least once a day one of us mentions it.

Lilymax
I will be 59. :001_huh: Hubby will be 61! Good heavens, we are old. Hoping there are lots of grandchildren by that point. DS1 will be 30 and DS2, 26. Still kinda "wowed" to see those numbers!
KAM
I will be 51. Wow, I never really thought about that!
scrappyhappymama
If I am able to homeschool our baby due in June all the way through, then I will be 57 when I am done homeschooling. That's IF this is our last baby. :D My plan, whenever I do finish homeschooling is to spend my days doing all the scrapbooking I had no time for while raising our children and traveling to visit the kids and grandchildren. ForeverFamily
When my youngest will be done with school I will be 44. However we are not done having kids so I will be older than that when I am done HSing. When I am done HSing I plan on spending my days working on art, I also hope that my DH and I will be able to serve a mission together. But like the saying says "Life is what happens while you are making other plans." Oh, I also plan on sleeping in a lot of mornings!!!! Mimm
I will be 39 or 40 when my youngest is done with high school. I was young when I had my kids. :)
