melissad2
Of having 3 babies that are born weighing the exact same thing? My first two were both 8lbs 14oz  and I am taking bets on what the 3rd one will weigh :D any takers?
linguistmama
I would bet that it's extremely rare! My first 2 weighed the same and were the same length. They looked enough alike that they could have been mistaken for identical twins at a passing glance. I get the feeling that dd3 will be bigger at birth. Night Elf
I can believe it. All 3 of my children were born at exactly 38 weeks 2 days. Weird, but true!
melissad2
I had to have scheduled c-sections with both of mine and when they called back in the OR to tell me the weight of ds2 I was like  are you SURE? I told them I thought they needed to check their scales they must be broken!
thescrappyhomeschooler
DS1 was 7 lbs., 6 oz., 20" long and born at 3:32 PM. DS2 was 7 lbs., 5 oz., 20" long and born at 3:34 PM. They did not look exactly alike, though. ETA: They were born 16 months apart.
ChristusG
DD#1 and DD#3 weighed exactly the same.....8 lbs, 5 oz. DD#2 was induced about a week earlier and weighed 7 lbs, 7 oz....I dont think she would have reached 8 lbs, 5 oz even if she stayed in longer though. Annie G
Three of my kids were 6 pounds, 2 ounces and they were all 19 inches long.
melissad2
That's so weird that kids would be exactly the same especially in length and weight!
Pretty in Pink
IDK, but I gained *exactly* 28 lbs during three of my five pregnancies. Those babies weighed 7 lb 3 oz, 6 lb 3 oz, and 7 lb 9 oz. Weird.
MelissaMinNC
My kids have been all over the place: #1(dd) - 7lb6oz, 19.5" #2(ds) - 8lb10oz, 21.5" (these 2 were both born at 40w2days, but dd was induced) #3(ds) - 5lb15oz, 18.75" (he was technically a preemie at 36w5d) But my mom had 4 girls and #1 and #3 weighed the same, and #2 and #4 weighed the same. Weird!
TrulySusan
I have 3 kids (1 girl, 2 boys) and each weighed 7lb10oz. They had different lengths. So, absolutely possible. eta: DD was 1wk late, each DS was 2 days early. Edited October 31, 2011 by miknsusn
juelle
My first three boys were all 8lb2oz, one early, two right 'on time'. I think our bodies have a switch that gets triggered - OK, you're big enough, OUT! DD in between was 6lb13oz, 4 days 'late', so for me the switch had to do with boys. texasmama
My babies ranged in gestational age from 37 1/2 weeks to 39 weeks, 5 days. (I know when I conceived them so the dates were not off.) In spite of this and of having two of each gender, their weights were in the narrow range of 7 lb, 12 oz to 8 lb, 6 oz. So, there was a 10 ounce spread between all four of them. Both of my last two babies weighed 8 lb, 6 oz. Add to this that there is also a ten year spread between the first and the last baby. I think it would be an interesting research study to compare all of the variables with baby weights.
SunD
1 - 9 lb, 20.5 in 2 - 8 lb 6 oz, 21 in 3 - 8 lb 6 oz, 20.5 in I fully expect any more babies to be between 8 and 9 pounds, and 20 and 21 inches long. I would be shocked if I suddenly had a 6 pound baby. 1 and 2 were both born right at 39 weeks (38 weeks 6 days, and 39 weeks 1 day). 3 was born in the 38th week, but we'll forgive him since there was a hurricane. :001_smile:
cjzimmer1
While all five of mine have been 7 something, two have been the same weight and 4 of the 5 were within 4 ounces of each other. If their birth dates had landed a day or two earlier or later, I'm sure I could have had more the same weight. #1 7 lbs 5 oz #2 7 lbs 14 oz #3 7 lbs 3 oz #4 7 lbs 1 oz #5 7 lbs 5 oz

Forget-Me-Not
Mine were 7,9; 7,7; and 7,9 respectively. I seem to crank out a standard 7 1/2 lb model :D
Momof3littles
My first two were exactly the same. 8lbs 4 oz and 20.5 inches long. My third was 9 lbs and 21 inches long. I gained exactly the same amount of weight in each pregnancy.
Serenade
My two weighed the exact same, too, at least according to the official statistics. I love numbers like this! One of my sons was born at 2:38 and another at 8:32. I thought that was neat, too.
