regentrude
I get the joke, I know the meaning of "tea" - but I never understood where the term "tea" originated from... anybody care to enlighten me?
Rebecca VA
It's supposed to be misspelled as "teA." Someone posted a question on here once about how often (or something?) TWTM posters had tea with their husbands. It took a few minutes for people to understand, but it was such a great euphemism that it caught on right away. Rebecca VA
Oh! I'm totally confused. I really thought it all started when someone innocently asked about tea parties with husbands, and she didn't realize that no one else had heard of that term (yet). Never mind.... Yeah, you have to go back farther in WTM lore...back to that epic post about the instant-hot water dispenser. That was the best of all possible euphemistic beginnings...
