AngieW in Texas Posted August 23, 2010 Share Posted August 23, 2010 The 12yo and 14yo took their guinea pigs outside today for awhile. The 14yo was outside with them the whole time. Her guinea pig didn't take the heat very well. The 12yo's guinea pig is just fine, but the 14yo's guinea pig died two hours ago. She was horribly upset. She's doing better now. The 12yo's guinea pig didn't have any difficulties at all. They do know now that guinea pigs don't handle heat well and will probably never take them outside again. Right now the 14yo doesn't want to get another guinea pig, but she may change her mind. We'll see how the 12yo's piggie does alone. I think he'll end up needing a companion. I figure we'll give him one week alone and then maybe start looking for a companion for him.
