Frontier Mom
I set up three stations so far. One is new, eclectic music like The Fray, Muse, etc. One is 80's music. One is classic rock. Now, depending upon my mood, I can listen to whatever I choose. I'm loving this site. If you don't know about it, it is a free site where you set up your own stations. Kinda funny the things you get. For instance, I have never really liked The Beatles but they match a couple of my genres. Who knew? Anyone else using this? I also have it on my Roku player. Mergath
I love Pandora. When we had really fast internet, I'd listen to it all the time. The contemporary folk station rocked my world. You know, in a calm, folksy sort of way. :)

Mrs Mungo
I have the Pandora app on my iphone and love it! I love that I can put in an artist and it will play music similar to that artist. It helps me find new artists that I might like.

Brilliant
I love it, too. I have an alternative 80s station (typed in Flock of Seagulls, although I never hear a FoS song!), a contemporary country station (Keith Urban), and a motown station (the Temptations). Frontier Mom
What?? You can max out? The max is 40 hours per month. I'll go way over that at this rate. But, it's only $36 per year. Much better than the XM radio my dh had on his car. I think it was about $100 per year. We canceled it.
Mrs Mungo
Nope, we love it so much, we max out the free hrs. Dd listens to it, while studying. I think the iphone app doesn't have a max but it has advertisements.
sassenach
I think the iphone app doesn't have a max but it has advertisements. Really? I've never heard any ads. My favorite cleaning music is the Elastica station.
Mrs Mungo
Really? I've never heard any ads. My favorite cleaning music is the Elastica station. I think they are rare. We listen to it quite a bit and I've only heard 2 ads. I wonder if they are only associated with certain artists, maybe?
Tap
I like Pandora, dh likes Rhapsody. But with Rhapsody's changes over the past year, he is coming over to the Pandora side too. :D
catalinakel
yup...love it. Never have bought much music, nor do I really listen all that much, but when I do, I get to listen to what I want, which I love. Neil Young radio, Bruce Cockburn radio, Joni Mitchell Radio, Fernando Ortega radio, etc...
jenL
We have it on our Roku too, and we love it also! Ds will say, "I'm in the mood to listen to music - time for Pandora!" He even had me set up a kid's station & he's really enjoying his own "channel".

Parrothead
Thank you ladies. I'd never heard of it before. I quit listening to Sirius.com when they started charging for it. Now I've got the Jimmy Buffet channel (of course), Nickelback radio, a new age mix, classic rock and a a classic pop.
Cammie
Bummer...got all excited...went to the website...they don't allow access outside the US! My satellite radio company went bankrupt a few months ago so now all of India is without satellite radio. I used to get NPR, a few Western music stations, news stations, etc. Now, nothing. It is so quiet here!

Will have to try the Elastica channel, as I am off to clean!
Frontier Mom
Really? I've never heard any ads. My favorite cleaning music is the Elastica station. I only hear ads when I listen on the computer. Don't remember ever hearing any on the Roku. I'll have to try the Elastica station. Might help me keep cleaning.
