Osmosis Mom
Ds is now leaking every night in his Pampers night diapers -and not necessarily because it is full even. Seems to be form the side-seam. I am looking for somethng that won't wreck our nights obviously and got 7th Generation recommended. What do you suggest? delaney
My DD is 6 now but we have always had good luck with the Goodnights. She really floods and these don't leak. The smaller size should work well for her. Perhaps put a fleece cover over the diaper? It won't leak and be soft at the same time.
Pamela H in Texas
We used GoodNights. That should be all that is necessary for a normal kid. However, we did have leaks when WAY over full. We tried an additional layer for a time. But my ds was older and wet multiple times per night so that is way different than a normal bedwetting toddler/preschooler. Osmosis Mom
Hmm, yes because the diaper is not necessarily full. I am just thinking I have a pair of woolen panties for kids I could put over his diaper for extra absorption.... I think we are using the Good Nights but perhaps you guys are talking about the Good Night that are like pull-ups?

Wool would work if your DD can deal with it.
stripe
Different diapers have different shapes. Pampers leaked a lot with my older child, but not so much with the younger. (I even had one brand that fit so loosely in the back, that once we had a stream of "lava" erupt out the back during dinner....Yuck!) I definitely vote on another brand. Some of them have money back guarantees. Have you tried Huggies?
Osmosis Mom
I just ordered a pack of Seventh Generation from AMazon. If that ends up not working, then I'll retry Luvs. I seem to remember that a few months back I tried some GoodNight pull-ups and they were a disaster. WHatever, main thing is that now he is wet every single night at 3 and I'd rather sleep, LOL!
MaMa2005
For diapers, Huggies Overnights hold a ton. Once DS was potty trained, we moved on to GoodNites (Huggies) or UnderJams (Pampers), both a pull-up alternative for bed wetters. I personally like the GoodNites better, but we have had no leaks with either brand. Coupons for both are always available on the web. blessed2fosteradopt
I use Huggies Overnights with my 3.5 yr. old. He is potty trained but cannot make it through the night. This diaper holds a ton. We have never had a leak but always a full diaper.
SonshineLearner
Cloth at night with a good cover is best. I'm trying a trial cloth "pull-up" from Antsypants.com ?? :-)
BlsdMama
Carrie, LOL. I was just going to say the same - cloth. Try a nighttime diaper solution. A great night diaper like Very Baby with bamboo here: http://tallulahbaby.com/simply-nights-cloth-diapers/ and wool would make for a great solution. ;)
StartingOver
Huggies Pull-ups hold, when Goodnights do not on my son.
Ravin
Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapers with microfiber rags for inserts (like they sell for washing windows) were always effective with DD. We never used disposables so I wouldn't know what to recommend in that category.
littlebug42
For those that recommended the cloth: I purchased a cloth pullup/all in one for my 6 year to try as an alternative to the disposable and it broke her behind out terribly. Any suggestions. As for us, we use the Good-nights or Underjams. If it is an actual diaper you are looking for, I would recommend the Huggies Overnights. Those worked well for us when ours were still wearing diapers.
Mom-ninja.
Yes, try fleece or wool cover. I have found a great combo now. I use Nature BabyCare (biodegradable diaper) with a fleece or wool cover. No more leaks.
jail warden
When I had kids in diapers I often went to a size bigger for night time, they tended to hold a bit more. HTH!
Mom-ninja. Any suggestions. The most common reason for rash breakouts when using cloth is that the detergent is not rinsing out completely. Then the residue detergent interacts with urine/stool and causes irritation. Wash the cloth pullup in hot water, do an extra rinse, and try adding vinegar to the rinse. You want all the detergent rinsed out. If the wetness is irritating her skin you can put a fleece liner (any fleece cut into a liner) inside the pullup. It will keep the moisture off her skin. jld
Huggies Supremes are good for when you need a disposable. I think they're called Little Movers now.
