Glencoe's Chemistry:Matter and Change
Or
Chemistry in the Community?
My dh is a private school physics teacher and has taught chemistry and he likes both these books, but not sure how they would work for homeschool, especially labs.
Anyone have experience with them?
I just bought the new version and asked about ordering workbooks. I was told they are all available online for download, so RS does not sell them anymore. Haven't started yet, so can't help more than that.
Lots of rest and fluids--don't push it until they are feeling better or it will prolong the symptoms.
At our house, I came up with a system for marking our drinking glasses so we aren't using several per each person per day. I found a plastic colored rubber band and attached a cute button to it. The band slips up over the glass, each person has their own marker. Guests have them too. It works pretty well.
Hope they are healthy soon.
Last time I took Tamiflu I felt worse from it than I did from the flu, so I stopped taking it. So, no--I don't plan on taking it. The pediatrician's I work for will give it to kids with documented flu.
I am, with my ds. However, he is a major history buff. Read the book on his own when in first came out and read it again this year as part of his history. He thinks it is great and can't wait for the next one.
The cough is usually the last thing to go. It's good that it is looser now. You can try some buckwheat honey or other dark honey. It is supposed to help as well or better than cough medicine. If fever returns or trouble breathing then definitely take back to the doctor.

Blokus is great, Qwirkle is supposed to be fun, Settlers of Catan, Carcasonne, and lots more.
I'll have to include more than one. Mere Christianity by C.S.Lewis, Flesh and Blood Jesus by Dan Russ, Physics for Future Presidents by Richard Muller, and The Castle on the Hill by Elizabeth Goudge.
