  1. Nutelleria! Love it! I'll bet they serve coffee too. MMMMMMMM. My vote is for the Italian one. :)
  2. LOL I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that one.
  3. LOL It's hard to speak and stay in the parameters of just one language. It's so much better to switch back and forth isn't it? :)
  4. You were close though! :) Pulpo en su tinta is a Spanish dish. :) OP it happens to me too. My family speak Spanglish so I'm lucky in the sense that I can go seamlessly from English to Spanish and back again and everyone understands me. It's harder when I'm speaking to someone who only knows one language or the other. I've had times in English where I'm speaking and a word will come to me in Spanish and for the life of me I will not be able to recall it in English. Vice versa in Spanish. Spanglish is really much better! :D hehe
  5. Hear! Hear! Thanks Jedi Bob or whoever else was involved. :) :hurray: :cheers2:
  6. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! :) This is what I was wanting to know. This really makes sense. I just didn't know, other than for the benefit of the PSATS, whether the sequence made a difference or not. Thank you so much for your reply. That really helps me. Fortunately I already have my Geometry, we're doing Jacob's, so I can start right into it with peace of mind. Thank you so much again. :) :grouphug:
  7. If I were you, I'd go to a makeup counter and just play around and see what you react to. Sensitivities can be tricky and what irritates some may not be be irritating to others and vice versa. I would go to a Nordstroms or a Sephora and just try out different brands and see what works and what doesn't. You might want to try out some cream eyeshadows too. The ones they have now are really nice and stay on all day. I wonder if they would be less irritating than powder shadows since there is nothing loose to get into the eyes? I think your best bet is to just play around before you buy anything so you know if it bothers you or not. HTH. :)
  8. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I'll bet you are. :(
  9. I have trouble with mascaras irritating my eyes and I don't think my eyes are particularly sensitive. Is it mascara you're having trouble with or do liner and eyeshadows bother you even without mascara on? Clinique color surge is supposed to be good for sensitive eyes. Laura Mercier too. I'm not too sure about drug store brands. I think Almay at one time was supposed to be good for sensitive eyes, but I don't know if that is still the case as I really don't have sensitive eyes other than to mascaras. Hopefully someone else in your situation will chime in here. :)
  10. LOL I will. It will be difficult, but I will make the sacrifice for the sake of knowledge. :p hehe
  11. Well, he started out as a cigar maker in the Garcia y Vega factory there in Ybor City. He was an active member of El Circulo Cubano and El Centro Asturiano (his parents were from Asturias, Spain). He was one of the leaders who were pushing for unions for the cigar workers. They actually lynched some of the leaders who were pushing for unions, but my great grandfather still didn't back down. They finally black listed him and he couldn't find work anywhere in any of the other factories so he went into carpentry. My great aunt still lives in a house that he built on Virginia Ave. He made houses for low income families in Ybor City. Especially after a big fire that swept through there back in 1908 I think it was. He built a lot of the homes after that. Some of them are still standing. One of the houses that used to belong to one of my relatives is a post office now I think. It's a little building by the rail road tracks. That used to belong to one of my great aunts. :p
  12. So between Lindt and Ghiardellis which would be the better one?
  13. That is just crazy!! Oh my gosh! I don't even know what to say.
  14. Would Ghiardelli sp? work? I know my local grocery store sells that in the baking aisle. I've never seen that brand you mentioned though. Never heard of a Vons either. Where do you live? Sorry I'm nosy! lol :tongue_smilie:
  15. Coolness! :) Is it true that the street car is running again? My mom used to take that when she was a kid! :) I was in Ybor City for a family reunion last year, but I didn't see the street car.
  16. Thanks. I understand that part, but what I am wondering is if there is a benefit to stay in Algebra all the way though or is it still better to break up Algebra I and II with Geometry? Thanks. :)
  17. is it better to go from Algebra I straight on into Algebra II? Should Geometry still be done in between?? Thanks to all who reply. Still trying to figure this thing out. :blushing:
  18. That sounds REALLY good. Where do you buy the fancy chocolate?
  19. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I'm so sorry Imp, but glad she is safe. I can't even imagine that conversation between her and Wolf. Enjoy that drink when you get it. I'll have one in your honor! :D hehe
  20. :iagree::iagree: What she said. I'm sure it will be a doozy! I'm glad she's safe.
  21.   That is too funny. At least we know their sheep get a lot of exercise. What creativity they have. I'll bet King David wished he could have done something like this. :D hehe
  22. :iagree: Me either. Someone may drive me crazy, but I would never wish them any harm. I do hope she is okay. Poor woman. I'm praying for her Imp. Please keep us updated. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
