Mine have to say Yes Maam & Yes Sir. Also, if I'm speaking to someone, they have to just put their hand on my arm and wait for me to ask them what they need. I don't just let them interupt conversations.
See this is kind of what I was thinking. Right now we do phonics together and I just right different words on the board for each of them but they are all learning together.
I only got 1 CD. :)
Good grief!!! I didn't know I would need 3 of those big boards. :001_huh: Hopefully when I sit down later and have time to look things over and figure it out, it will make much more sense.
My 3 children are learning phonics together and are beginning readers now. I have been using PP but decided to add in AAS after reading so many great reviews and feeling like I need to supplement.
I received my order and not sure that I needed 3 kits. They are working at the same pace and we do all lessons together. I don't want to spend all the time taking these apart if it's not needed. I'm not sure how the program works yet.
My daughter is only 13 months older than my twin boy's. They are the best of friends and ALWAYS together. We did not plan for THAT close together but it's wonderful now. The hard part was 3 in diapers! :tongue_smilie:

These are great and hold tons of crayons, pencils, glue sticks, bottles & rulers.
So glad to read this because I just ordered AAS yesterday to use with my 3 children. They are doing phonics at the same level so hopefully it will be fun for all of us to do at the same time. :001_smile:
I love the visual aspect of it and so do my kid's. I am REALLY into organization though so this is perfect for my style. I only need 1 system since mine are so close in age and do a lot of the same subjects together.
I find some of the HOD activities too young as well.
We are using HOD LHFHG. I purchased the Rod & Staff books for them to do extra activities and they LOVE working in those. The Do It Carefully comes with the HOD program but we purchased Finding The Answers, Counting With Numbers & Everywhere We Go seperately.
Time4Learning is a good computer program. I am working with 3 young ones so I need things to keep them busy so I can have one on one time.
We have a huge playroom but the kid's get it too messy for me to even want to try and do school there.
We use our kitchen table or counter with stools. I have a whiteboard on the wall too. There is a large closet next to the table that we can store all of our books, supplies & crafts. It works out really good since I'm in the kitchen most of the time cooking or making snacks anyway.:001_smile: We do our reading on the front porch swing and the sofa.
We share 1 workbox system since my twin boys are in K and daughter in 1st. They do a lot of the same lessons/work so their is no need for seperate systems right now. I fill the clear bins up the night before with everything they will need for the following day. After they complete a lesson, they take the # off the bin and replace it with a smiley face. :001_smile:
homeschooling? Someone posted a while back approximately how much time should be spent doing homeschooling at each grade level. I know this varies for each family. A friend of mine that is wanting to homeschool her children is interested in this. I was trying to explain that it doesn't have to be as long as a PS day because of the wasted time etc...
Anyone have info on this? :)
