  1. I think you're a prudent freak. :D Or a freakish prude. :001_huh: Really, I don't blame you - I wouldn't want my whole family coming down with the flu. Luckily, there aren't any cases in my area. At least not any that I know of...
  2. I couldn't agree with you more.:D We've used it as a family read aloud twice, and all three of my older kids have read it along with their history studies. Love Roger Lancelyn Green! His other books are great as well: The Tale of Troy, King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, Tales of the Greek Heroes, etc.
  3. It looks wonderful! So glad you found something that will work for your family. :001_smile:
  4. :grouphug: It's days like this that make good chocolate worth the $.
  5. All right dude, we're from the future. I love Hurley.
  6. They'll probably be just fine. My ds' teeth did the same thing. Just make sure that he's brushing really well between both sets of teeth, because food is more likely to get stuck there.
  7. Yes! It was awesome! It gave me chills to watch; I love me some horsies! :D
  8. Calm, peaceful thoughts streaming your way. The doctors and nurses are going to take wonderful care of you and you will be fine! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: You will be in my heart tomorrow, Rhonda. :grouphug:
  9. Now that's pretty cool. I didn't know hybrids did that. Same here. The kids are always complaining that I should try to get a better spot. And they always get the same response from me: "Waking is good for you!" :D
  10. A warm cup of tea? Chocolate? A nap? Can your dh give you a massage tonight before bedtime? Check out this thread for more ideas. Hope you're feeling better soon. :grouphug:
  11. That's cool, I can understand enigmas. :D In many ways I am one, myself. (my apologies for being a little short-sighted about hybrid owners :001_smile:)
  12. I find it hard to understand why someone who owns a hybrid would be shopping at Walmart. :001_huh:
  13. Zero. Gosh, what a scary place to live! We're fortunate to live out in the country. The house can't be seen from the road and my older kids have complete freedom to roam around our yard and in our woods.
  14. 14yo dd is walking one of the dogs. 12yo dd is reading (we just returned from the library, where the librarian correctly guessed we are homeschoolers and complemented our book choices and the kids manners... little did she know that 3yo dd kicked dirt all over my pants and new shoes when we arrived at the library.) 10yo ds is drawing 3yo dd is trying to get out of her mommy-imposed nap time (see dirt kicking incident above :glare:)
  15. You're not alone, Jo! I'm A-Do-The-Bare-Minimum mom, myself. We go to the most relaxed co-op on the planet and... um... the library. That's about it. We'll have the last laugh when all those Do-It-All moms are drooling into their porridge and we still have our wits about us. :D
  16. I'm surprised they're not encouraged to pull right up to the front doors and leave their cars idling while they shop. :tongue_smilie:
  17. Oh sweetie :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: I can't even begin to imagine how awful this is for you. :crying: I have no idea how to go about finding a good private investigator, but I hope you do find a good one and you're able to get some info about your ds. :grouphug:
  18. Losing myself in a good book tops the list. Other things that help: a warm cup of tea, pilates, a brisk walk in the fresh air, a good night's sleep, watching a good movie in the dark (alone or with dh), a hot shower.
  19. Poor little fella. Hope he's better soon. (keep pushing the fluids) :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
  20. Agreeing with everyone else - go ahead and take her in. :grouphug:
