  1. This has been a great time of year, in our experience at least, to get a good offer on a house. Hope you sell quickly and can really enjoy getting settled in your new home. Are you moving away from NC, or just to a different house? Luckily dh's employer will pay the lesser of the two mortgages. That is a huge blessing! We are moving away! I wish we weren't since they are putting all sorts of fun stuff around us. Ikea would have been 10 min. away. And supposedly there is a water park going in somwhere close by. Oh well, at least we will be an hour from Myrtle so that is a plus. It would have been nice to move to a different part of our neighborhood like everyone else here does.
  2. We are! It's a 2.5 hr drive from where we are now. Our closing took 3 hrs! The bank would not release the keys to us. So that was fun. The home was a foreclosure, evidently that make sure all paper work is in line before they hand the house over to you.
  3. I am really trying to have happy thoughts! It should all be so much fun! Packing, cleaning, praying this one sells!
  4. It was on Christmas and my parents were with us. My dad had been watching some movie with vikings, and kept saying, "All hail Ragnar". After a while my dd pipes up, "I hear ya Eggnog".
  5. In general a whole foods approach. I googled low acidity diets and that's what comes up. http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=george&dbid=63 http://www.everydiet.org/acid_alkaline_diets.htm Also spilanthes is good for oral hygeine in particular, doesn't taste all that well, sort of tangy. http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/learn/spilanthes.php Anyway, HTH
  6. My ds looked earlier and saw it for tomorrow and Friday. I just checked again and it's here for us.
  7. I collect depression glass, I love going to antique stores! I also have a thing for fleur-de-lis's. I also have a lot of cobalt blue bottles and glass phone insulators which are packed up.
  8. Great news! If you are a fan of the revolutionary children's show "Liberty's Kids" and would like to see it back on the air, now is your chance! I'm pleased to report that beginning this Wednesday February 27, The History Channel will air episodes of "Liberty's Kids" on Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 7:30 am and Saturday 7:00 am to 8:00 am. I received this information from Kevin O'Donnell, co-producer of "Liberty's Kids." He says The History Channel is worried that a cartoon will fail on their network, so that's why this is only a test marketing of the show. IMPORTANT! The History Channel needs to know this is the kind of programming that we as parents want for our children. So tune in and watch, then contact The History Channel via their Help Desk at http://www.history.com/global/feedback/index.jsp?NetwCode=THC and tell them how much you and/or your children enjoy the program. If the show does well, the producers are prepared to create more programs highlighting other historical eras in American History. Imagine how much fun it would be to watch the same type of educational animated series about other periods of our nation's history like the Civil War or the Oregon Trail. Just wanted to pass this along!
  9. And the lady on the phone was very apologetic. She had said the man obviously had no patience or children. Oh well, it's not costing us anything, as long as I don't have to see that man again.
  10. It's only 9:00 and I am done for the day. At 8:30 the moving company came over to look at the house to give us an estimate for our move. Well, the man was ~65? Anyway, I have an almost 3 year old who had just woken up, and was hungry. The man was trying to go over his list of do's and don'ts. While trying to go over his list my little one is screamimg, starts smacking my 6 yr old, and my 10 yr old was doing his best to keep the peace. The man puts his pen down, says that he is just too distracted and leaves. I have never been so humiliated in my life!
  11. I went to the one site you posted, and it was in a foreign language. I am not at all computer literate. I would be worried about losing it after trying to figure it out. You will have to share when you do finally get it!
  12. I just started mine yesterday after about a month or so of trying to figure out what I was doing! Looks great!

  18. I can remeber being ~6 and my dad nailing all of our toys shut in a closet! And sometime last year I had enough of ds's footballs. I put them in a trash bag and placed them in garage. I forgot to tell dh and he threw them away. There must have been at least 10 footballs of varying shapes and sizes. Not much advice:o
