  1. Last summer Staples (I think), laminated for teachers free. There was a limit of 50 ft in length, and 2 feet wide. We had lots of stuff done. The education Express store charges .07 a square inch. For Christmas dh bought me a one from Wal-Mart so I could do little things at home. But for larger items Staples was great. HTH, Heather
  2. For myself to play with. With an oil immersion lens and polarizer. So I can pretend I'm at work again!
  3. That is something. Wonder how long the pastor had been there.
  4. I'm taking for an auto immune dx. I have done alright with it, but lately I feel like I have been hit by a truck. I had my lab work done today so I wonder what it looks like. Was curious to know how others reacted with it.
  5. Methotrexate?? Just thought I would ask, I have a few questions. Thanks! Heather
  6. To think of what youth is exposed to today is scary! My 6 dd, is already making comments about her appearance. And thankfully my 10 ds hasn't hit that stage yet! Keep up the fight!
  7. And to be able to have that support available must be refreshing. God's grace is wonderful! :)
  8. I love all things black and white toile. Purse, wallet, diaper bag, smaller diaper bag, all toile. I also have a black woven "seat belt" bag with a polka dot bow. Ocassionallhandbags.com has lots of cute bags. I love sally Spicer as well. Especially the dragon fly prints. I'm a purse girl. Could care less about shoes! :p
  9. I wasn't sure where to look for the scope! I only saw the lulu site. Thanks again!
  10. We can get out if the damage is extensive. It's a foreclosure so we are dealing with the bank and our agent will try to get something worked out. Not easy to haggle with a bank.
  11. The house I loved went under contract while we were gathering info on utility bills. I like the room sizes in the house, and it does have potential. It is slim pickings where we are headed. Everything was either way out of our price range or needs work. I guess we met in the middle. The whole moving thing is taking it's toll. Dh says I need to be thankful that we can buy another house, and yes I do need to be more humble. :o
  12. I plan on using JAG. He has gone through Calvert up until this past year. I don't have an issue going through aesop first if that will help get a hang on things. thanks!
  13. On a house that you walk through at 7:00 in the evening. Wait until midday so you can see how bad the carpet looks, how much painting has to be done, and last but not least how ugly the cabinets in the kitchen really are. And not to mention that the front porch is home to wood eating bugs, yet to be determined by the contractor who will be there on Mon.:eek::eek:
  14. What do you need to go with it? And is Aesop prerequisite? Or is there another writing curriculum altogether that someone is crazy over? Thanks!
  15. Until Triviums's post. I am trying to figure out where we are headed. Lots of everthing changing here, why not switch up school?:p
  16. Is usually in the low 100's. I worked in a lab so we could draw each other and run our own labs when we had do do correlations and such. Potassium is usually monitored in conjunction with other test, on it's own no worries, like you said diet can have some effect. If you had other results out of kelter then maybe a issue. But I always like to know my lab results, I'm geeky that way. Give me a microscope and I'm a happy girl! :p
  17. My 6dd has moved on to Hannah Montana. I wish she were still into princess's.
  18. We got behind one and dh and I we trying to figure out what it was, my 6 dd piped up from the backseat and said "daddy it's a man bag". We had just gone to the ren fest and she saw the guys sporting those change purse things. My mother called them man bags so my wonderful little daughter picked up on that one. Anyhow, we had never laughed so hard.
  19. With the ATS, you still have to check their work. Every twenty lessons is a test that is sent in along with a composition or some other form of writing. It has been nice, however, you may end up being on assorted lessons for different subjects. Then you are all over the lesson manual. Having everything laid out is nice, and I like the accountability for my ds. But we have been waiting to get back to our own groove when he is finished. There is also Abeka, BJU, Covenant Classical, and I think Sycamore Tree provide some sort of accountability if that is your main priority. HTH, Heather
  20. I downloaded the free version. When we are settled I plan to utilize it a bit more!
  21. Love it? Hate it? Does it help? Thanks!
  22. mitosis is when BODY cells reproduce, and meiosis is when SEX cells reproduce. Pretty much the nitty gritty. Mitosis: duplication of the chromosomes. in order to separate and multiply. (from Wikipedia: Mitosis is the process by which a cell duplicates the chromosomes in its cell nucleus, in order to generate two, identical, daughter nuclei. It is generally followed immediately by cytokinesis, which divides the nuclei, cytoplasm, organelles and cell membrane into two daughter cells containing roughly equal shares of these cellular components. Mitosis and cytokinesis together define the mitotic (M) phase of the cell cycle, the division of the mother cell into two daughter cells, each with the genetic equivalent of the parent cell.) Meiosis: where the cell splits, and needs another cell from the opposite sex to make it whole again. (this is our method of reproductrion!) (from wikipedia:In biology, meiosis (pronounced my-oh-sis) is the process by which one diploid eukaryotic cell divides to generate four haploid cells often called gametes. The word "meiosis" comes from the Greek meioun, meaning "to make smaller," since it results in a reduction in chromosome number in the gamete cell.)
  23. The products are great. A wee bit expensive, but I like the cleanser. She stopped selling because she didn't like the way the presentations were, too much involved. I have another neighbor who sells Silpada jewelry and does really well with it. I guess it depends on how much time you are wanting to invest.
