  1. I just looked at this at CBD and it looks great! Thank you, I am going to order this when I can.
  2. Do you know someone who is diabetic and can borrow there meter thing to test your blood sugar?
  3. My 5 and 3 year olds are the same weight and height and both have red hair so we get asked that alot too. Recently we brought our 8 yo to the Dr and we took the 3 and 5 yo with us. As we were leaving, DH had my 5 yo's hand, I had my 3yo's and our 8 yo was walking along side. Some woman smiled at us and told us we had our hands full. DH and I just grinned at each other and kept walking. If she only knew :)
  4. Thanks everyone for the replies! W will be looking into this otpion more.
  5. Thank you everyone! I am going to try the progesterone cream instead of the pills.
  6. Thanks, Cindy. I did go and so far everything seems OK. I am glad I went and got it over with.
  7. :iagree: That's the best thing @ hoemschooling- Having the freedom to do what works for your family.
  8. Anyone's children using the option of distance learning for all their college? Do you feel prospective employers would look an a distance learning degree the same as one from an actual B&M school? What would be the downside to obtaining a degree this way? I know there are some fields that distance would be unpractical ( medical related fields etc) but are there some fields of study that this would be a good option? Thanks!
  9. I would go to the pastor with this and have him deal with the dad.
  10. We moved midway through treatment with son who is now 18. The ortho helped us find a new ortho here in AR (they have a book of all orthos listed by state) and had his records sent ahead and an appointment scheduled before we left Maine. We, too, had paid for his treatment up front so they gave us a refund check to take with us to the new ortho.
  11. He did OK on the ACT. Not great, but ok. He has a job interview tomorrow and if he gets hired he will probably be able to pay for his CC classes cash (after grants etc) with no loans, but I need to check out all his options.
  12. I was searching for wild yam so maybe that's why google kept popping up sites saying it wasn't good. I will try for progesterone cream instead. Do you have a brand recommendation? I will see if my library has the book. Thanks! Edited: I just found this site with a list of creams he recommends. http://www.johnleemd.com/store/resource_progesterone.html
  13. I have found that in the south people talk to anyone and everyone :D. No matter where I go someone stops and starts chatting. If I have an appoitment I plan extra just for chat time. I don't remember people being this chatty in NH and Maine :)
  14. I can see it now, " Oh, I just love your milk" as you point to her cart and she slooooowly backs away from you.
  15. I saw my Dr yesterday and she wants me to take progesterone for 3 months to get my cycle back on schedule. She gave me an Rx, but said I could try wild yam cream instead. I did some googling last night and found a few sites saying the cream doesn't work and a few saying it's a life saver. I don't know which to believe . I'd love to hear your thoughts if you have have experience with either methods.
  16. Thanks, Nadia! He is thinking of going in Januaury so I think I need to do the FASFA soon because I wouldn't have 2009 taxes yet. We are going to meet with his advisor ( he is taking a few classes this fall, as a senior) and plan out which route is best for him.
  17. We are sadly in this position again. DH spoke with our pastor this week and we wont be going back. Choosing to leave was over doctrinal issues and also some things that just raised red flags for us. It's going to be hard on our very small church as we made up over 1/4 of the body, but we know we can't stay.
  18. Thanks. I don't really want to reschedule as it's been 3 years  but I am having issues so I want to make sure she can do the exam right. Maybe I will call and ask the nurse before I go.
  19. We have 3 cats and a dog and I just learned that our town requires a kennnel permit if you have over 4 animals, which is rediculous. We live in a subdivision on @ 3/4 an acre. All of our animals are both indoor and out and they all get along fine. The cats rule and the dog just obeys them LOL
  20. Can one go for their yearly exam on the last day of AF or would it be better to reschedule? :blushing:
