  1. I think you are confusing religion with Christianity. They aren't the same.
  2. My kids have been involved in CAP for a few years and it has been good for our family. We haven't had any bad experiences and I feel CAP has helped build confidence and independence in my kids.
  3. My college kids have been renting their books through www.chegg.com and have been very pleased. It's much less expensive compared to buying.
  4. I would find out if your state has any requirements and what is required by any college your Dd is interested in.
  5. I use WWE but we don't use FLL. However, I heard you can skip the narration and copywork in FLL and use WWE instead. As far as WA, I didn't use it with my first grader and used WWE instead. This year I plan to use WWE and R&S with her for second grade. I think I am going to start WA when she is a bit older, maybe 3rd or 4th grade, depending on her ability.
  6. I have purchased years 1-3 used so only own redesign print but I will be buying a new year 4 soon and plan to buy redesign print only. I am used to print anyways so it works for me. I also like having the option to resell it if I choose, especially with it being so pricey to begin with.
  7. The bolded part is absolutely not true. There is no increased risk of uterine rupture simply because of due dates. Remember a due date is an estimate and not a definite. If you aren't 100% sure you want a repeat C-section based on only your due date then I suggest reading and researching about over due babies and VBAC and than make your descision. Ican is a great place to start. None of my babies have been born earlier than 41 weeks with more than a few over 42 weeks, including a VBAC at 42+ weeks.
  8. Would this be an OK meal to bring to a church potluck? If so, what else would you bring with it?
  9. :hurray::hurray::hurray: That is fantastic!
  10. You're welcome. I think we might use it too.
  11. I had planned to do just a few weeks too but once I got going figured why not do half a year. I think I am going to work on printing our other subjects too. I can see how nice this is going to be on Monday mornings instead of having all the kids wait while I start printing like a mad woman :lol:
  12. for all 4 level of kids. Every SAP, reading assignment, writing assignment and map. I used a scary amount of paper :svengo: :D Now to get everything organized into folders.
  13. Please don't be so quick to judge. I have an almost 11 yo that reads on a second/third grade level and we work very hard at reading using one of the best programs available. For some kids it is developmental.
  14. I read the The Golden Children's Bible aloud to the little ones and we discuss it, but I don't know what to use with the other kids. We did BSGFAA 1 last year and I don't want to continue with it. I’d like something we can all use together even if the littlies don't completely grasp it right now. I think I want something that digs into why we believe what we believe. Any suggestions?
  15. Hmm one of the schools my son is interested in does want class rank. Not sure what to put?
  16. I issued my graduates a diploma, which none of them have had to show anyone. They needed transcripts for college, but I made those myself too. Edited to add: I guess it depends on your state's requirements. Does your state require a GED for homeschoolers?
