  1. We have had all kinds of different systems at one time or another but currently have an Xbox. Both boys have a computer as well and they typically do more gaming on those. The Xbox is only used occasionally. My dh has no interest in gaming whatsoever and boys play in spurts. We don't have any issues with it.
  2. This is exactly what we did. We moved then moved again a year later then moved again a year after that. I had boxes from each of those moves that never got opened so before we came here I sent them off to the Goodwill. I have no idea what was in them and I haven't missed anything.
  3. Definitely Jillian... But then I am bored with Jane, Marie and Ann for middle names. Everybody picks those. Be different.
  4. Ok, don't laugh, but I had no idea people actually buy Christmas presents for animals. It never even occurred to me to do so. I must be the worst pet owner ever.
  5. It is heresy wrapped in self-indulgent, literary drivel. Blech.

  10. :iagree: Until you have lived next door to a dog that WILL NOT SHUT UP you do not understand how absolutely crazy it can make you. .
  11. Not any more. We can't afford all the postage from here so we may do a Christmas email. But no Christmas letter. Those bug me. :tongue_smilie:
  12. Absolutely. I would love to help. Here is more info that might be helpful: The biggest job search engine is TIE...you will have to subscribe which requires a fee of $39 but it is the biggest: http://www.tieonline.com/ If you are interested in working in a christian school you can look here (it is free): http://missionteach.com/ Here is a list of international schools on the U.S. government website. You can search by continent and get direct links to the schools themselves: http://www.state.gov/m/a/os/c1684.htm You can also look into Department of Defense schools here: http://www.dodea.edu My school is http://www.dalat.org My blog about our life here is http://www.fischerfamilyadventures.blogspot.com IMPORTANT: the hiring season for next school year is RIGHT NOW. If he waits, he will have a hard time getting in at a good school and will have to wait another year. .
  13. I am a principal at an international school so I will answer by what we do at our school. All schools and all countries are different. International schools are a fabulous career path! Living abroad has truly changed our lives. We need a high school English and Science teacher for next school year. But if a Christian school is not your thing, definitely look into SEAsia, especially schools like Singapore American School or International School of Bangkok... Or the UAE especially Dubai. Those areas pay the most and have excellent living conditions. .
  14. I have a love-hate relationship with playdough. The smell doesn't bother me and all of my kids LOVE to play with it. BUT... it ALWAYS ends up ground into my carpet and there are little pieces of it everywhere and all the colors get mixed up which messes with my OCD. :tongue_smilie:
  15. Definitely Charlotte. It fits better with the names of your other daughters. Charlotte Jordyn? .
  16. Every Saturday we go to the market here to buy our chicken and they are ALL sold with the HEAD and FEET still attached. The first time it was quite startling but now I am used to it. :tongue_smilie: .
  17. There are loads and loads of accredited, online schools you can use. I just googled "online accredited homeschool programs" and there were pages and pages of them. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding something to appease the government.
