  1. Can someone please tell me how to make a macron (Latin accent) appear OVER the correct letter on my flashcards? I know that it can be done because I see it on shared cards. However when I am creating my own cards, the macron is always to the right or left of the letter. Help!
  2. This system seems like it has a lot of potential. I'll have to come back and read more closely when my kiddos aren't being so "helpful". Thanks for posting.
  3. Stay outside, where you can see the water. Barefoot if possible. Stay cold, strip off extra layers. Don't eat anything really rich, but don't let yourself get hungry. Have fun!
  4. Burritos with scrambled eggs, beans, salsa, etc... YUM!
  5. You might also be interested in The Artist's Way. Although meant to help "blocked" artists, it talks a lot about overcoming the perfectionism that is standing in your way of moving forward. http://www.amazon.com/Artists-Way-Spiritual-Creativity-Anniversary/dp/1585421464/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpi_1 (Note that this book may have some views regarding spirituality that may not align with the readers.)
  6. I'm thinking Excel spreadsheet, but currently I am having the same problem over here! :lurk5:
  7. I seriously need a giant flow chart to keep track of all of these programs and how they fit together!
  8. Could you post a link to these? The ones I am finding don't seem quite right... Thanks!
  9. Okay, I went and tried this... took me several attempts to see the warning. Far too subtle for me! :001_huh:
  10. Hmmm, I hadn't realized that Google books had a "my library" feature. It kind of bugs me that I can't make it private, although I don't really know why this matters to me. :glare: May I ask what your main purpose is in cataloging your books? To be able to find them? Rate them? Avoid purchasing duplicates? I wish that there was an extension from Amazon, where when you purchased a book it automatically added the title to your personal library. Or at least it could flash up a message that I had already purchased that book! Sort of like Netflix when it says "You have ALREADY watched this movie! Would you like to rate it?" It is a really good thing that I have never done drugs, because I shudder to think that my short term memory could be any worse! :001_huh:
  11. I have never done Atkins - I would recommend checking out South Beach, which is similar but includes more veggies. Here would be my South Beach-y recommendations for the following. Note that these are my personal suggestions, not necessarily exactly what the diet would recommend.
  12. I would say three hours TOPS, plus extra time to debate why it is spelled Plimoth when the town is spelled Plymouth.
  13. Spend some money! ;) You can also look on Etsy for people who do freelance web design, graphic design, business cards etc.
  14. We are a cable free household. Although we have a television it can only be used to watch movies. Our kids aren't even allowed to do that. (Unless they are sick, at which point it seems like an okay time for a movie.) Being television free ranks as one of our best parenting decisions. It also makes the whole no logo thing much easier, because our kids just aren't connected to that world.
  15. I also have ethical objections. Here are a few of mine: It is not ethical to fill injections with rat poison, mercury, and anti-freeze and then deny that these ingredients were used. It is not ethical to hide information regarding the safety of vaccines. It is not ethical for those who oversee vaccines to be the same individuals who profit from their sales. It is not ethical to combine shots, causing greater risk to the recipient, simply because it is easier for the nurse, or cheaper for the manufacturer. It is not ethical to misdiagnose vaccinated children so that it appears that the vaccines are working. It is not ethical to continue to increase the numbers of vaccines given to children because illnesses such as chicken pox are "disruptive" to parents. It is not ethical to look people in the eye and lie to them because you fear the public reaction to the truth.
  16. We've been known to call them "oblivacations" :tongue_smilie:
  17. This looks really good. Although I don't see it on Netflix. :glare: Ya beat me to it...
  18. What about shopping online? You can google for "modest clothing". Some sites that I know are popular, and are promoted as modest: http://www.shadeclothing.com/ http://www.modbeclothing.com/ http://www.diviinemodestee.com/?gclid=CNjtyMvm_ZoCFR0Sagod-CTleA http://www.layersclothing.com/?gclid=CIq45dPm_ZoCFRlcagodRB0Meg Also, Etsy is a great site for find fun clothes - especially skirts! http://www.etsy.com/ I also find Boden, a British company to be more modest: http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Default.aspx And finally Hanna Andersson makes great women's clothes which may appeal to a teen: http://www.hannaandersson.com/home.asp
