  1. Is this a thing? Because suddenly any chemical smell - cleaning products, detergents, deodorants, hairspray, etc. give me horrible headaches and nausea. It's really awful.
  2. I had the same thing. It was SO GROSS. I had heard that it could last weeks, but for me it disappeared after a few days. I had a very metallic taste, like my whole mouth was full of nickels.
  3. Here is an article: https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/coronavirus/does-the-covid-vaccine-affect-your-period-survey-launched-after-some-report-changes-to-menstruation/2494064/
  4. There has been a lot of discussion of this on twitter. Women both experiencing much heavier periods than usual, and post menopausal women having unexpected periods. I think it is good to see a doctor, but I would not rule out that it is vaccine related.
  5. 8ft? It seems to be the same amount of time regardless of distance.
  6. Ours takes FOREVER to get hot. Living in a drought-plagued state I feel insanely guilty waiting for the water to get hot every time I want to wash the dishes. 😬
  7. I'm in a similar situation. I'm going to post most of it in a homeschooling FB group for items free for shipping. (Group name: Homeschool Curriculum Free For Shipping). There is another group for paid items. (Group name: Homeschool Buy Sell Trade)
  8. I have a weekly phone call with my mother and I'm about to cut her off because my whole week is tanked by that hour. I dread it for two days, and then I have at least two days after the call where I am mad about the call. So, no judgement from me. When my kids were little I struggled with being patient. When I was being impatient it helped me to think "right now I'm practicing being patient." It took away the sense that my time was being wasted, because it wasn't being wasted - I was practicing a skill. Perhaps you could use a similar trick with your visits. I should probably try thinking "I'm practicing being non-reactive" for my phone calls. 😬
  9. I am having a similar experience and it is VERY painful. ((((Hugs))))
  10. I feel all of this. In my own family of origin, I don't think Covid is "the problem". I think that Covid did shine a BRIGHT light on already existing issues. I have existed as a chronic people pleaser and apparently it took a pandemic for me to change my ways. In some ways anger allowed me to see clearly, and my unwillingness to enable has cost me a sibling relationship.
  11. Covid has permanently altered how I see many people, including family members and neighbors. I will never forget how selfish some people are/were.
  12. I am looking to buy a hammock as a gift for my 10yo, but am looking at hammocks meant for adults. I think I will also be purchasing a stand for the hammock. For those of you that love hammocks - do you have a specific recommendation? I can't decide if she would prefer the spreader bar flat hammock, or the crumple style hammock. At this point I have looked at so many hammocks, and I am no closer to being able to pick one. Help!
  13. My son had emergency surgery (accompanied by my DH) and my dad has been to the ER twice and stayed overnight in the hospital. Everyone managed to stay Covid free. ❤️
  14. Mine doesn't have it either. I've looked on all the documentation and on the website.
  15. Reading this I assumed it would be a paid position. While it can be easy to find a tutor for a student, she's really looking for a tutor for both of them. It can be hard to find someone who will help a homeschooling mom get her footing. Lots of educational consultants/tutors are really pushing a pro public school agenda. I have paid both tutors and homeschooling coaches over the course of our homeschool - and we are "real" and "invested" homeschoolers. 🤷‍♀️
  16. Have you tried Prozac? (For the cat 😉 )
  17. The ACDC videos are what got us through the Macro class, although my student didn't take the exam because of Covid.
  18. I am also sensitive to chicken, and oats. 🤣 I’ll look in the SD. Thanks!
  19. The itching started before the oats, but I agree they could be contributing.
  20. She’s been on Apoquel, which helped but was super expensive. I’m also not sure if I think it’s a great idea to medicate her without solving the root issue. I haven’t tried Benadryl.
  21. Can y'all please help me with dog food?? I'm overwhelmed. We have a 5 yo, 50 lb Golden Retriever. She tends towards stomach issues, and she is insanely itchy. She is currently eating Pura Vita Duck and Oatmeal food with a scoop of pumpkin puree. It is supposed to be "limited ingredient" but the list of ingredients seems super long. She was eating a grain free variety of this brand previously, but the vet said to add grains. I'm assuming that the food is causing the itchiness or at least contributing to it. (She's been to the vet and has medicated shampoo.) I want to try switching her to a different food and maybe some fish oil? The problem is that there is so much contradictory information about dog food - and I just can't muster any more effort on this topic. I am considering Honest Kitchen, maybe? I'm not sure I can commit to something that requires fridge space like Farmer's Dog. I'd prefer U.S. ingredients only. Please help. 😬
  22. There is a really active and helpful FB group called "Homeschool and NCAA Academic Eligibility" if you are interested.
  23. I'll send you an email. I think I have a better solution for you. 😉
  24. I am really excited to be teaching an online photography class for teens. I know that there has been previous board interest in photography so I wanted to share here. Feel free to message me with any questions! http://www.dodgeandburnphotoschool.com
  25. We haven't left our home (except to walk the dog) since the beginning of March. Our neighbors have daily pool parties. My rage is overwhelming.
