Hey! My dh had this idea since the first LOTR movie came out. :glare: At least dh and the kids haven't outgrown LEGOS yet.

All 5 of my kids have shoved a plastic bead up their noses at the 2-3 year old age. I guess it's so pretty and colorful that you just have to put it up your nose?:001_huh: My youngest just did this a few weeks ago when we started making crafts for Easter. I managed to pull the bead out with tweezers. Not easy since her nostril is sooo tiny. Then the next day she tried to do it again!:glare:

Thank you for your thoughts. I was thinking gift cards because I love getting gift cards but then I began to doubt myself. I was afraid it would be too impersonal. Our pastor's family is beyond the babysitting age so that's a no-go. :)

We started as a read-aloud when our oldest was 8. We read it again as a family every few years. The kids get different things out of it depending on their age. We have them read it as required reading for grade 5/6. We also have the Focus on the Family Radio Theater version, so they are familiar with the story at a young age.

I inherited my father's hair genes. He didn't start turning grey until his late 60's. :001_smile: I used to dye for the fun of it when I was younger and had fewer children. Now, it's just not worth the hassle.

I think it's acne. My dd starting getting them when she was about 9. They disappear when she washes her face with raw honey.

If you have Hulu Plus, what seasons of Bones, Psych, Merlin, and Burn Notice are available? Is it worth it to have Netflix and Hulu Plus together or redundant? Can you get the older seasons of current running shows or just the most recent season? TIA

We get the same thing from our Canadian relatives about "those Americans". All my kids are American:glare: They don't seem to mind visiting us and shopping in the American stores though.

We converted an old bookshelf and use baskets, one per person. This is a temporary solution until we find something nicer. Can I share a story? I was raised very strictly to not wear shoes in the house (a cultural thing) but being married to someone from a different culture, I've adjusted very slightly to not insisting on it with guests. If they ask or offer - great, if not I try to roll with it. Well, when we just had child #3, a lady and her son came over to bring a meal. They kept their shoes on and walked all over the house because the son was a friend of my ds and wanted to see toys and the mom was looking around. As they were about to leave the mom asks, "What's that smell?" Her son had dog poop on his shoes and the mom just shrugged it off and thought it was funny. I was like:willy_nilly::blink::eek::crying:

We've always celebrated our anniversaries privately, when we remember them:lol: How about an anniversary party with friends and toasting each other with special words instead for an actual vow renewal.

How does google+ give people my address? Do people need to search for it? I'll try to change the settings but I forgot the password. Ugh. Is it wrong to be annoyed that people who have the address I gave them are using this new address? It just feels presumptuous.

I had to sign up for a gmail account in order to buy some apps and now people I didn't give my gmail address to are emailing to this account. I use another account for personal emails and everybody who asks get this address. How are people getting this gmail address?
