  1. Its not enough that you taunt me with your stories of fresh baked lasagna? Now you're going to just grow it in the garden? :glare:
  2. Welcome! I don't think its too early. You'll have a well-considered comprehensive program if you start planning now. And I think teaching 2 periods would be very difficult and wholly unnecessary. I rolled my 6-yo 1st grader into history with my 9yo 4th grader this year (medieval) and its working out just fine. The 9yo does more reading than the 6yo and does her own "narrations" while the 6yo narrates to me with coaching. They like doing history together.
  3. Black beans with a bit of feta or a homemade hummus?
  4. Anything sounds good to me...just wondered. I think Friday would be ample time.
  5. How about, "Number of days Mommy drank herself to sleep because you were uncooperative"? I know, I'm not helpful.
  6. I wouldn't be so sure about that vote stealing. We'll see how the votes come down and then I'll get back to you on that. If it doesn't go my way I'll put out a rock and paint it to say, "You can steal my sign and you can steal my vote but you can't steal my 400 lb. rock. So there."
  7. :grouphug: I know so, so many cancer survivors who go back to their regularly scheduled lives right after successful treatments. :grouphug:
  8. Nope. Right, wrong or indifferent I would not allow that.
  9. I am actually loving it. Its my first go with Ayn Rand and I wasn't expecting her to be such a engaging writer. I have no idea why I wasn't. I was forcing myself to read it but I actually can't put it down. Someone told me it is much better than The Fountainhead because her philosophy is more solidified by Atlas. I recommend it. It even has some spicy parts...wasn't expecting that.
  10. My husband sets it to nose icicles. I'm going to guess 8 or 12 below zero. Possibly 64.
  11. Eeep. I just voted for the WIW not knowing it was 800 pages. I'm reading, "Atlas Shrugged", right now. I'm not sure I can do an 800 pager after that. I'd change my vote to one of the WSM books.
  12. Sorry about your grandmother's passing. And thank you for the beautiful story. :grouphug:
  13. :grouphug: Sometimes its hard to stay motivated, isn't it? Especially with chores...its so thankless and boring. You know what motivates me sometimes? Watching an episode of Frontier House or reading a Little House book. Plus, there's an hour spent just :chillpill: ing and letting it go.
  14. Check out http://www.cosmeticscop.com/. She sells her own products but she started out as a watchdog for the cosmetics industry and has lots of great advice about application and ingredients and skin care. :001_smile:
  15. You know when I saw the first post about "Room 222" I totally was thinking about the show, "227". So when I saw your question I was giggling at the idea of Johnny Depp on a show with Jackée and thinking you meant "21 Jump Street"...but I looked it up and saw my mistake. But I'm still giggling a little.
