  1. Bju teaches precursive manuscript. It has the tails and slight slant to the letters. The idea is to make the cursive transition easier (2nd grade). We used it this year and both enjoyed it l you could probably start the cursive earlier if you wantes. That's thw thing I've seen that sounds like whhat you are looking for?
  2. Mfw k looks fun! I have a year to wait for ds to turn 5 though. I started hsing 1st grade for my oldest so k will be new/exciting!
  3. You'll need something for writing but it includes dictation and some narration.
  4. Math practice, lots of reading (library summer program), work through pll til we hit half way point to pick it up in the fall. 1 week in August at the beach woohoo! Possibly church conference (have $ issue to figure oit) older 2 spending a week at yaya's (my moms ;))
  5. We used bju this year. I can't imagine using it with several children. That amd budget got me looking. We are going to mfw next year. I can eventually combine them all for core subject which was quite appealing to me. My dd is not independent when it comes to work. So I will be happy to have less independent work and more family centered projects. Maybe something like that would work foryour family?
  6. Welcome ! I'm fairly new to this board and twtm philosophy. Lots of good info here!

  8. I like that mfw is Bible focused which is part of why I chose it. I also like that I can combine my kids for most subjects (when they all are old enough) . I noticed they have sotw in their later programs so I'm fiine waiting. Donna laid things out really well. :)
  9. We use bju and love it! Masterybut with plenty of review as well.
  10. You could get mfw adventures. Then get the k readers stuff. That way you can combine for all. But reading and math. Rod and staff might be a good math choice for the oldest since it's good and cheap. Horizon math is fairly cheap too. My other suggestions is to buy used from Amazon, eBay and homeschoolclassifieds.com There was also a thread a few days ago ful of free curriculum and resources.
