  1. This is great to hear! My dd is on her 4th year of using TT, and we plan to stick with it all the way through! :)
  2. I'm not sure what age your kids are, but my 2nd grader loves this book: http://www.hometrainingtools.com/my-big-science-book/p/BK-BIGSCIE/
  3. :grouphug: It's been very difficult here the last few years as well. :grouphug:
  4. Because it is what's best for MY children, and I really don't care what anyone else thinks. It's really nobody elses business. Try not to let it get to you too much, and have a Merry Christmas! :grouphug:
  5. I always loved watching him in Quincy. He will be missed. :(
  6. My kids (7 & 11) both love Spelling Workout (Modern Curriculum Press). We have tried many, and Spelling Workout is the one we have stuck with. :)
  7. I agree with Calming Tea, if I were going to go with boxed, I would choose Calvert or Memoria Press. :)
  8. No, I decided not to use the timeline guide. I find the curriculum to be pretty complete without it.
  9. We did the RS4K Chem. and Bio. last year, and just completed the Physics. As mentioned above we enjoyed all 3, but are taking a break for a while and probably going to use Harcourt (through Kolbe) for a while.I just ordered the texts, so I will have to see if we are going to like them first. We may go back and do more RS4K later. Next year I will be doing the pre-level 1 Chem. with my youngest.
  10. We ended up cutting out like 3 of the Physics experiments - one did not work, and a couple of others I just had some difficulty coming up with all of the materials. We still got a lot out of Physics, my kids were a little disappointed though - they love experiments. I supplement RS4K with the Usborne Science Encyclopedia.
  11. My oldest has done both pre-level 1(2nd) and level 1(5th), and loved both. I like the fact that materials are easy to gather for the experiments so they actually get done - lol. My youngest will probably do pre-level Chem. next year. We used the Physics this year for the first time (it wasn't out yet when my oldest was doing pre-level 1 books). I did Pr-level 1 with my youngest and level 1 with my oldest at the same time. The Physics is the only one I can say I got a little frustrated with some of the experiments. The experiments we ended up doing worked out well. We also like to use the study folders for review.
