OK, but you have to admit that is in tiny print hidden in between a lot of other text...*and* what is the rest of that sentence?? (You conveniently left out the rest of the statement...) *and* that is an IRS regulation...*NOT* an HSLDA policy...

I've seen this repeated over and over and over...but I see NOTHING on their website that states this. I've talked with HSLDA representatives at length at our state convention and this accusation has been dispelled for me. I've needed HSLDA's services twice and received quick, competent representation both times...that's enough for me. :)

:iagree: -- my friend just bought a new one. However, watch the ground clearance...it is much lower than other minivans. My friend hit a raccoon and it did $200 damage to the lower edge of the front bumper. (That $200 was JUST parts...labor not included.)

I realize Wal-Mart doesn't manufacture the fan **BUT** they do negotiate with manufacturers to meet certain price points by "cheapening" the product. ;) A Lasko fan at Wal-Mart is less quality than a Lasko fan anywhere else. ;)

I'd be tempted to take a refund and shop elsewhere if you can. We got a better fan for half the $$ at Home Depot.

We had a similar experience with the kind that goes in a window. (installs like an AC unit -- with 2 smaller fans)

I have one I made last year. It is an Excel file and I can't figure out how to attach it. If you want to PM me, I'll send it to you.

I'm not familiar with swim team or dive team protocol, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt... :tongue_smilie: If it was mandatory that all team members arrive together, why weren't you notified of that when you made the arrangements? If it was discovered later (after you had told the team parent of your plan) why didn't the team parent contact you? I can tell you that if my child was forced to get into a vehicle without my consent, I would be LIVID...and the coach/team parent would definitely get an earful.

Teen #2 (dd) has known for years that she wants to work with animals...she has plans to attend a local CC and get a veterinary assistant diploma and then open a boarding/grooming business.

We're diving into Apologia chemistry this Fall. Other Moms have told me it is very "doable" at home. We will be taking advantage of the Virtual Homeschool Group online co-op.

I'm still buying used -- here, TOG forum, homeschoolclassifieds and eBay. (eBay not as much as the others) I've been very pleased with all but one purchase. It was an Apologia MP3 Audio CD -- badly scratched and didn't work. I was able to work with the seller and I got a quick refund.
