  1. Haven't started watching this season...just finishing up last season ;) I prefer to wait until it comes out on disc and then do a project runway marathon :tongue_smilie: Diane
  2. I loved today's episode and can't wait to see the season finale next week! My only concern is that I think they are taking an extended period of time off (possibly a year?) after this next episode. What am I going to do without my Dr. Who fix? Also, how come Amy and Rory seem ok without their baby? Amy mentions Melody in Let's kill Hitler but doesn't seem to concerned any time after that
  3. Wild Cherry Yogurt Icecream (full fat icecream that has the flavor of yogurt) at Polar Bear Ashburns...was only able to have it once back in the 80's because the Polar Bears by our house closed down. The best flavor I have ever had. Also like Breslers Strawberry Yogurt flavored icecream and Bluebell Peaches & Cream. Diane
  4. I have found that using contact lens solution really helps with pink-eye. I had a reoccuring infection and tried all of the natural remedies (honey, tea, tea bags ). The only thing that got rid of my pink-eye and kept it away was using contact lens solution in the morning and evening. Hope that helps! Having Pink eye is miserable! Diane
  5. Dr. Who is a given ;) but also really enjoy the new Sherlock Holmes series (I think it is called Holmes) Diane
  6. We like to have homemade wings served with homemade french fries and coca-colas... but then we are not the healthiest family in the world;) Other ideas are snack night...7 layer dip with chips, carrots/celery/tomatoes/greenpepper with ranch (or onion ) dip. Cheese and crackers. Another thing we like to do is get really good cheese and bread from Whole foods, grapes, strawberries, good dill pickles and make a spread. HTH! Diane
  7. I think it usually becomes available on itunes the day after it is shown on BBC. We are hoping that we can watch it tomorrow!:D Diane
  8. Well that hasn't happened to me (probably because I really don't cook all that much :D) but I would probably blast my family and then go out and go book/clothes shopping and stop and have a nice dessert or mocha drink somewhere.... :grouphug: to you! What a bummer to put forth the effort to fix a meal and not have anyone appreciate it! Diane
  9. I believe you can get unlimited streaming on netflix (no disks) for about $6-8/month ...not too bad a deal to get your Dr. Who fix :D Diane
  10. Thanks for the link! Sounds like it can be done but may change the flavor  Guess, I will be spending 50 cents at the grocery store this afternoon for some baking soda :D Thank you!!! Diane
  11. I am about to start baking some chocolate chip pan cookies (we are moving next week and I am trying to use up all of the flour, sugar and chocolate chips before we go so we don't have to pack them :D) I was looking at my ingredients and I don't have any baking soda....just baking powder...will this work or will it do something funky to the cookies? Thanks! Diane
  12. I hope it works out for you :grouphug: Nothing more stressful than having to deal with a move (we are moving to CO next week, so I feel your pain :D) At least your movers are willing to work with you. We got a voice mail message from ours when we were moving to this rental house 2 years ago that they couldn't come because their other job ran over :svengo: Of course we were packing and getting stuff ready so I didn't actually check my cell phone messages until right around the time they were supposed to be there. We ended up finding other movers at the last minute, but it was very stressful! Sending prayers and positive thoughts to you for a safe, stress-free move! Diane
  13. Hi! I get rave reviews with this one http://allrecipes.com/Search/Recipes.aspx?WithTerm=key%20lime%20pie%20VII .....it is REALLY that good :D Do make a homemade graham cracker crust and whip cream topping...it does make a difference :001_smile: Diane
  14. Yay! Glad to hear such wonderful news! It is about time you guys were given a break!!!:grouphug: Diane
  15. Yes, that is one of the reasons my DH wanted to move here is so that we would be close to CSU in case the kids wanted to go there later on (he is a CU boulder graduate...but Boulder is WAY too expensive to live in). You should visit your cousin some day....spring and summer are the best times to visit (it can get really rainy in the winter). Albany is really a lovely place to visit and if you go you need to check out Al's hamburgers and Zachary's pizza :D
  16. Thank you! I am actually starting to feel good about this move! Diane
  17. Cool! DH is hoping to get a research tech position at CSU and will also be applying for instructor positions at the local community college. Go Rams ;) Diane
  18. Thank you! I will check them out. DH left tonight and will be there til Friday checking out places. Diane
  19. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that something WONDERFUL comes through for your DH! Diane
  20. I'm sorry Aubrey...sometimes it is just too much :grouphug: Diane
  21. Thank you! Yes it is...I like it because it feels homey and small town but still has some culture, a university and good restaurants :001_smile: Diane
  22. Thank you! I understand your feeling, because the place I would live if I could (if I had a bazillion dollars and no kids :D) would be Albany CA (just north of Berkeley). DH and I lived there for 4 years when we were first married and it was magical. The east bay and SF are still my favorite places to vacation, I love the weather, the food, and being able to walk everywhere I want. Diane
  23. Since I received so much wonderful and helpful advice in my last post about our move I wanted to give our update. We will NOT be moving to Centennial, Littleton, Parker or Castle Rock but instead moving to Fort Collins (the place I said I wouldn't mind living but was too far from work :tongue_smilie:) . When I told my supervisor that I was moving back to CO and would like to continue telecommuting in some way, shape or form he said "farther away from the office was better in terms of being able to continue telecommuting"....so when I said that Fort Collins might be an option his response was that if I was going to be that far away would coming in once every other week work for me? Why yes...yes that would :D So we are moving to Fort Collins in two weeks. Whoo Hoo! DH will be looking at rentals here in the next few days. I am excited (nice houses, decent schools, 3 Catholic churches ;) ...Castle Rock only had 1) and I am hopeful. Now if DH can only find a job when we get there...... Diane
