  1. Already done: made baked oatmeal Dishes To do: laundry photo project Get my room back in order (stuff is piled everywhere from me having to empty the closet so we could access the attic ad part of the bathroom remodel)
  2. I made it this morning with almond milk, but did use real butter. It turned out great! You could use earth balance instead of the butter. Oh and I cut the recipe in 1/2 and used a 9x9 pan, baked for the same time since it was thicker, turned out great!
  3. I voted. There is never a line where I go. I was voter #489 of the day there.
  4. Today I need to get everything back in place after a busy home improvement weekend. Get school done clean dining/kitchen/living rooms laundry Maybe a 5th coat of poly on the drawers. take down some sheetrock in the basement for access
  5. Took the girls to a birthday party, dh and I went to buy bathroom remodel supplies and grabbed a coffee. Took the closet and vanity out of the bathroom then took the sheetrock off the wall and removed the tub drain. Tomorrow the tub will come out. Now it's quiet time for the girls and dh and I are watching tv.
  6. Watch cirque de soleil videos on YouTube. ..Done. next up is a coat of poly on the vanity drawers. No sanding today, so it should go quicker. finish dd1's Halloween costume School plan what to do tomorrow as it is going to be in the low to mid 30's during trick or treat time clean the house some as we have Co op tomorrow and this weekend will be taking the tub and vanity out of the bathroom, removing the old closet framing and run wiring. Yay for progress.
  7. I will be back putting on a coat of poly on my drawers for the new vanity. I couldn't get 2 coats on yesterday due to time constraints. We have a recycling center field trip this afternoon. Then will shop for a birthday present after that. Will throw a corned beef in the oven for supper.
  8. It's just a busy week this week. Today is full: -decide on something for supper -Laundry, 2 loads -2 coats of poly on our bathroom vanity drawers, one after breakfast and one after lunch (we are building the vanity this weekend) -Library, books due and some to pick up. We might do school at the library too. -Get groceries at Aldi -Stop for a birthday present if there is time -Work on dd1's costume. I already pinned it some this morning, now I have to figure out the top of the arm then sew it together
  9. I didn't have time to read through all the pages, but my mom gives those who fall into the "too big to trick or treat" camp a tootsie roll and gives better candy to the younger kids. I'm not sure how she decides though. We don't have any trick or treaters here, so I haven't given it much thought.
  10. So Far: Work on scraping bathroom ceiling Call DH and update him on the status Call my cousin to see if he wants to tackle the project Cousin says yes I rejoice, and go take a shower. It's a messy, nasty job and he is a drywall guy. Win, win in my book! Clean the upstairs bathroom Try to get the girls to clean their room. They are 1/3 done. They actually kept saying "can we stop and do school" Vacuum the entryway, stairs and livingroom. Switch laundry (ok, so I delegated that one) Up Next: Fold laundry Lunch Clean downstairs bathroom Get the girls to clean more Math/English A chapter from our read aloud put clothes away in my room Start working on AWANA verses for next week. Figure out what supper is going to be
  11. I am working on halloween costumes. A Native American dress for dd1 to be the American Girl Kaya. And hand stitching a felt dog mask for dd2 to be her dog Tatlo.
  12. I am making Kaya the American Girl Doll costume for dd1 and dd2 will be her dog, Tatlo. I am going to work on a brown and cream mask for her. She can use the vest and arm and leg cuffs and tail from dd1's costume last year (she was a wolf). I have some of the ribbon trims sewn on the Kaya costume, a few more then I can stitch the sides up.
  13. 1st priority is to fix dd2's American Girl doll as she has a birthday party to attend with it today. Maybe we will go to Ikea before the party I should get a work out in Also should sand the drawers for the vanity
  14. We have the Harmony Smart Control. It is nice. They just sent out a buggy update to the app so the rating dropped, hopefully they will issue a fix on it soon.
  15. Purging is such a process. For me it is peeling off the layers. Just keep circling back to an area and getting rid of more and more. I was forced to get rid of some kitchen stuff when I chose to take out a cupboard to get a dishwasher put in. I haven't missed much that I got rid of. The only thing I can think of off hand is my hand chopper from pampered chef. I got rid of it since I use my chef knife, but now my kids want to cook and well, they can't use my knife. I have a box of toys I took out of the playroom in January, the girls have not asked for anything from it except for once. I changed the subject and they haven't asked since. I just need to get it out of the house and then get another box going.
  16. Reubens brats tonight. Grilled burgers tomorrow
  17. Dd1 will be Kaya, the American Girl doll (costume is about 40% done). Dd2 will be her wolf puppy, Tatlo. It works out as dd1 was a wolf last year.
  18. Corned beef, potatoes, carrots and maybe roasted cabbage. It has been slow cooking all day Yesterday was chicken enchiladas
  19. I wouldn't go with white based on my experience with the pink defender case. It looks so dirty 14 months in.
  20. I'd love your pumpkin pancakes and banana bread recipe, too!
  21. I get what I describe as how one sees after their picture has been taken with a flash. Like I can still see, but parts are missing. That part lasts 45 minutes or so, then I get numb in various parts of my body then a headache, but usually the headache isn't as bad as the symptoms. I take 4 ibuprofen, 2 Excedrin Migraine and go nap for 3 hours. I am usually foggy for about a day. My vision being disrupted is my first symptom.
  22. Egg bake. It freezes well, just portion it out. To reheat, we warm it up in the microwave ar about 50% power. In a 9 X 13 pan dump in a bag of hashbrowns, the aldi bag is the perfect size, I want to say 22 oz. Add in whatever meat and veggies you prefer. We do 1/2 to 1 lb browned sausage,1/4 diced onion,1/4 diced green pepper quite often. Wisk up 14 eggs, SIL has added in chicken stock in lieu of milk and it worked just fine, but you can use just eggs. Add in salt, pepper and any other seasonings you want. Italian seasonings, basil, thyme, etc are good, so is dry mustard. Pour over the hashbrowns mixture. Bake 45 min to 1 hour. Until firm (ccheck with a knife)
  23. I'm sorry, that stinks. The best tip I have heard for free field trips is to require a $10 check per family made out to the group (or yourself if you aren't part of a group) and give it back to them at the event. Otherwise checks get cashed and the only no shows are legit illness or emergency who get their checks back.
  24. Apparently having a migraine is on today's agenda. Ick.
  25. Went out on a walk/jog this AM already. Gotta get ready for the day, eat, brush teeth, etc now. School from 9-10, then an ortho appointment for dd2. Back home and do more school. Lunch put fertilizer down on the yard supper is salmon and rice the girls have AWANA tonight
