I have done the "I agree" thing but mostly because something drew me in enough to want to say something but I was scared to say more than that on a possibly controversial topic. BTW, I've lurked here for around 4-5 years, joined in '11, and have only recently been sticking my toes in the water posting. It's our third year homeschooling (first with more than one child) and I'm just now feeling I may have the tiniest bit of help to offer. The search function helped with many decisions along the way.

That's horrifying. Has CPS ever been involved? There are laws in many states saying how old children have to be to be left alone.

Another vote for AAR. We tried PP and Alpha Phonics but I think my son just needed the hands on and activities.

There is a program you can put on your computer that allows you to right click on a document and send it to any of your kindle apps or devices. It's on amazon's page. I'll try to look for it.

I love my Ninja. I make a lot of smoothies. It can also turn a pitcher full of ice into snow. I also have to agree with a PP in saying the blades are very sharp.

Agreed. I tried to make a smoothie and tried to ground brown rice. Both killed it. The whole machine wouldn't turn back on for a few minutes. I don't think that was too much to ask of the blender since even my cheap, newlywed, Walmart blender could do that. After the third or fourth time (my husband tried as well) I gave up and bought the ninja.

Not sure about the jars. The pitcher itself is square and I've never tried it.

It literally would die every time I used it. It guess it overworked the motor. Strange, because the mixer will beat down a double dough recipe or choc. chip cookies like it's nothing. Not sure which model ninja but it was from Walmart and I believe it was around 100. The ninja takes whatever I throw at it.

I do not like mine. It died blending everything from brown rice to smoothies. Love the mixer, hate the blender. I replaced it with a Ninja and love it.

No advice but am astonished your kiddos did that well. Mine couldn't.

I think that it's the 4 that has the new connector. I have the 3 and it's the old style connection. I would go with the newer one just because of app compatibility. The newer apps are going to become harder to run on the older iPads. The iPad 5 will be out within months along with iOS 7 (rumored).

I love my Bosch mixer but the blender did not work well for us. It would randomly stop working. I've never had a problem with the mixer.

I obviously feel so strongly for the parents b/c I am one. I just can't imagine being law enforcement and having to deal with that scene. Praying for all involved.

Lori was annoying in the comic and on the show. The show has turned Andrea into a needy lump. I love the Daryl character. This week seemed a little blah compare to last week but it makes me wonder what kind of crazy the last few episodes of the season will be. I do wonder if they are killing off main characters too quickly while not giving new ones enough time to be "loved" by the viewers.

I've always thought it better to stock up on regular shelf stable stuff you already use. Just rotate it out so nothing goes bad and is wasted.
