  1. You need the machine and spines to get started. If you want covers you can get those too. Make sure to get the appropriate spines for how many pages you will be binding.
  2. So very sorry for this tremendous loss. Praying for your family.
  3. So sorry. Praying for you and your family.
  4. I need a sticker that says Swim Taxi. My friend has one that says "Got Chlorine?"
  5. I've had ours for around two years and don't have any problems. Is it under warranty?
  6. Is this a real question? OUT! That made me laugh so hard.
  7. I have asthma and dealt with this just yesterday. I'm going to agree with others that he probably needs steroids. They are helping me out a ton right now.
  8. I had an order show up from RR with stuff on back order. By the time I received the back order I had forgotten about it.
  9. My DD doesn't do well with being given the problem verbally. She can work it in her head but she has to see the problem. I make a copy of them and she does them according to when they are in the HIG.
  10. The machine was cheaper in the store for me. It was 52.99 I believe. With the 30% off coupon this week it's a great deal at around $37.
  11. The machine punches the holes. You buy the binding that comes with a tool to snap it on or off. The binding comes in different sizes that hold different amounts of pages. I almost bought some covers but decided to use card stock. My goal is to put the papers in a box when the "book" is finished and reuse the binding. The covers are pretty but aren't necessary for us. I'm using them as a more kid manageable version of a binder/workbook.
  12. Yes, Proclick allows you to add and take out papers.
  13. I have tons of PDF's on my computer that I want to use it on. MM, some IEW stuff, CM style grammar books... I hate printing a page a day and if I print a bunch at one time they will get lost (my luck). Binding them is the perfect solution. I've also found through much trial and error that binders aren't as user friendly as I once thought.
  14. She's born and raised in KY. People here have pretty southern accents and all assume I'm a northerner.
  15. Long e. born and raised in southern Louisiana. My 3 yo calls it "pank".
  16. If my daughter understands a problem when I write it down she will get annoyed if I use manipulatives. I usually only break them out to explain something new or review something she's having trouble with. She doesn't use them when she does her workbook.
  17. We're at 11% and wouldn't go higher. We do live in a low COL area and our money went far.
  18. I know I'm late to the party, but I knew you guys would understand my excitement. This is also my very first time starting a thread.
  19. We love it. We're using AO so it has many of the books we need. My oldest has also read many on her own and enjoyed them.
  20. That sounds scary. I'd stick with the anonymous phone calls to the authorities. Repeatedly. Your first priority, of course, is the safety of YOUR family. There's only so much one can intervene in another families problems. Sad but true.
  21. Sounds like a good time to prank the harassing caller. Like this :
  22. Those kids are lucky to have you in there corner. Unfortunately it seems you may be the only one. You've done the right thing.
  23. I'll bet they've never read a single page of it. I remember being disturbed when a friend said her daughter was reading it because of all I had heard about it. Then I read it and couldn't figure out why everyone was whining about it. I'll never comment on or judge a book again by what others say.
  24. Just remembered: Anytime I would threaten my older stepbrother with telling our parents he was up to something he'd start chanting, "Breaking the law, breaking the law!"
