  1. Cottonelle :D I do NOT like TP where when you tear it, fuzzies fly everywhere! :D
  2. We really like the Nora Gaydos readers and Bob Books.
  3. Here are a few suggestions. A Handbook of Nature by Anna Comstock, Fun with Nature and More Fun with Nature by Laura Evert, Nature's Art Box by Laura Martin, Pocketful of Pinecones by Karen Andreola, Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert, Take a Tree Walk by Jane Kirkland, Keeping a Nature Journal by Clare Walker and One Small Square (series) by Donald Silver. Here are a few websites as well. Nature Journals, Acorn Naturalist, Backyard Nature, Plant Identification Label and eNature. There are also several nature encyclopedias available. We really enjoy nature studies here. I hope you can fine something that will be of help. Have fun! Cheers!:)
  4. We bought out Pellets from a local teacher store. Though before that I was going to buy them from homesciencetools. We did an owl study a while back and the kids loved it. You might check out KidWings and Owl Pellets how to study their contents. Have fun:)
  5. I have a two piece. The top is longer, not a bikini type. Very cute...if I do say so myself. ;) It's MUCH more flattering than on me than a one piece. Would something like that work? There are also some called tankinis.
  6. I think taking away things they like is a good route to go. I feel for ya. We would hope our children would learn to tell the truth while they are young. Because lying as an adult can have horrible consequences.
  7. We use LL, VfCR, CLE Reading (finished EGP)
  8. We use explorer's bible study online. It's free, not colorful, but its very doable and we like it. We've also used Grapvine studies, stickfiguring through the bible, which are fun.
  9. That is SO very funny! My kids enjoyed it as well! I am glad to see people went to look. There are those who actually do leave their stollers far from where they are.
  10. I had to quote so I could remember what you said:rolleyes: I think the fact you went along with it is WONDERFUL! No, I do not think you should have grumbled. It sounds like your dil really thought it would be fun and WANTED to include you! My mil would NEVER do ANYTHING she did not want to do, period. If I were to plan something like this she would make a huge scene, told everyone how ridiculous it was and stood her ground and not do it. I can only dream of having my stepmil even look at me nicely or treat the kids and I with respect. So...Cheers to you for doing it and really loving your dil and their family!
  11. Yes, it's a good program. Works well, there are plenty of problems per lesson. The fact that it teaches the child by showing them is awesome! We really like that it not only tells you just the answer in the answer key, but it works through each problem. Just a great all around program. That I highly recommend.
  12. The Jesus Storybook Bibleby Sally Lloyd-Jones and The Beginners Bible by Karyn Henley
  13. I've never used that but I can recommend wonderful books. I didn't see the ages or missed it, though here they are: Created For Work by Bob Schultz Boyhood and Beyond by Bob Schultz The Squire and the Scroll by Jennie Bishop Also, CLE is good for character training.
  14. We are enjoying CLE also. (thanks to MIch elle;)) Though we use LL too. Figuratively speaking looks pretty good, thanks for the info Lori, I had never come across that.
  15. Absolutely NO WAY would vote for Obama or Hitlery. We do not need more governmental control. Interesting to hear how people complain about fivolous laws being passed, and the ones we have to abide by now. YET seem to ingnore what these two are planning to do while in office. disclaimer: these remarks are not directed towards anyone specifically on this board, yet more towards those whom I hear, see and read about around me.
  16. Liberal Fascism? Wondering what your thoughts are on it.
  17. I would try to go if at all possible. Sorry for your loss.
