  1. We picked ours up for about $12 and it works fine. We also have wall maps too.
  2. I would buy two workbooks. I also wish they would have added lines for more of the places to write.
  3. Just wanted to chime in to say we've used TT and the Teaching Company's Highschool Geometry course and really liked it.
  4. My kids will be mowing and cleaning up yards for people in our neighborhood.
  5. Here is a link where it's been talked about on here before. I've seen it beand it looks like more of a supplement.
  6. Does anyone use the biology coloring books?
  7. Could you give me the name or link to what you purchased so I can take a look? If not that's fine. I know what you mean about it being 'part of the fun'. I know my child would enjoy it. I would like to keep the cost down.
  8. For those who have used this can you tell me if you need all the materials: Lab materials, dissecting lab materials, dissection specimens. I was planning on getting the books, audio cd and companion cd. Maybe I don't need the companion cd? Is their something else I could use instead? or even an online disecting web site? If their is another way to use this program I'd like to hear about it. Also, if you've used the Cd-Rom version of it I'd like to know how that went. :) We have enjoyed all the Apologia Sciences we've used so far. Thanks!
  9. We also use LL and my kids read pretty much anything they can get their hands on. :)
  10. Chose CLE a long time ago and love it! Though we've never used DITHOR.
  11. I have several items from their and I like it ALL! Just close your eyes and pick something. :) We have all the sizes of the crimpers, those are fun! I have so much...too many to list.
  12. same as above, along with: foil, saran wrap and waxed paper. I just recently threw out all plastics that are numbers 3, 6 and 7 because I read this.
  13. Yes, I not only feel like I clean every day, I DO clean every day! Their is always something to clean, wipe, pick up, put away, dust, etc. etc. etc. Some things like dusting....UGH What's up with that! I could dust EVERY DAY and never be done dusting!!
  14. Walmart sells black ones for $1 here. I've seen many stores selling them cheap.
  15. Funny you should mention Target. I was just their over the weekend and noticed the bathingsuits they had for little girls. I was quite shocked as one of the one piece suits came up very high on the hips and then both sides were open almost to the top. I think it was called a 'cut out' swimsuit. It was on the clearance rack, maybe that is a positive thing. Such a shame. My dd do wear alot of dresses too, with shorts underneath.
  16. The last thing I was looking for was the CD player....and it had been on the kitchen counter for 3 months. :001_rolleyes: Sorry I can't help ya.
  17. Happy Birthday! Making cookies and eating them all sounds like a great idea!
  18. As my parents get older I notice things seem to change, as in they are the ones who need to be taken care of. Maybe you can wash his cat and put a flea collar on it. Have the kids fold the laundry? I would mention, to him, the things that are 'really important' to you. The rest I would let go. I hope it all works out.
