  1. Has anybody done CPO Physical Science? We are working on CPO Earth Science right now (love it!) and will do CPO Life Science next (already have the books in hand - just need to plan), but the Physical Science is so expensive for the student & teacher books (and I like to have books in hand, not just on the computer.) I was trying to figure out why they are so expensive compared to Earth & Life, and wondering if we should take another direction for that subject. Hmmmm...I'd love input. Thanks, Angela
  2. I agree with all the others - I use mine quite a bit for extra teaching info - such as word origins, further explanations, teaching tips. They are all extras but they help me feel more confident in teaching science - which is not my area of expertise. Blessings, A.J. at J.A.
  3. This sounds very interesting and is definitely something I need. Can you link to the original post as well? Thanks, Angela
  4. Can you link to these blogs? DH just got me a Kindle yesterday. Thanks, Angela
  5. I've been thinking about you and hoping that your DH's job opportunity works out. Blessings, Angela
  6. It is a slippery slope - I would feel very uncomfortable with it as well. Blessings, Angela
  7. This is awesome! Thank you so much everyone. DH is enjoying Good Omens, DS#1 is enjoying Enslaved by Ducks and I am bouncing between a couple of them. Blessings, Angela
  8. YEAH! Thanks so much everyone. My library has several of these and I can't wait to get them tomorrow! Many blessings, Angela
  9. I need some light-hearted, funny (not stupid) reading. All of my reading lately has been "self-help", "improvement", how to teach better, live better, be better, etc. I just want to sit down and enjoy myself reading a good book. NOT a drama! NOT a heart-break! NOT a love found, lost and found again. YUCK! I get too emotionally invested. Thanks, Angela
  10. WOW! That looks so good! Looks like they did a great job.
  11. Sorry - I wasn't sure what stores you had access to...DH originally said it was at Barnes & Noble. Maybe a Netflix subscription to the online streaming? They have some good Sci Fi series on there that we enjoy. Eureka, Firefly, The Event, Warehouse 13, Star Trek etc... Blessings, Angela
  12. He sounds a lot like my husband! DH asked for this Mathematics Calendar, and I also did some coupons for him. Dinner of his choice, 20 minute foot massage, date night of his choice, family game night, long walk in the park, remove 3 items of clothing from my closet, 45 minutes of uninterrupted time, new computer game, one big kiss, 30 minute back rub, Blessings, Angela
  13. Awesome! My boys will love to see this - my oldest was just mentioning the Hobbit coming out next December. Blessings, Angela
  14. This one is pretty: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Celtic-Knot-Wedding-Band-in-Sterling-Silver/17419453 I wear this one on my right hand and it holds up nicely - I sleep in it, bathe in it - wear it all the time. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Baguette-1-10-Carat-T.W.-Diamond-Accent-Sterling-Silver-Fashion-Ring/14915132 Blessings, Angela
  15. It is perfect for my 10yr DS...hammering, painting, stringing, super gluing the finished knots - what could be better? :)
  16. Here's an easier pattern that he did for a different grandpa. And it's free, so you can't beat that! and here is another one that is free he did for a grandpa last year (that Gpa in particular, is a fan of boats.) :001_smile: Here's a link to all the free patterns from String Art Fun. And one last pattern which was more challenging but truly turned out beautiful. We didn't include the smaller flower on the bottom right. We get unfinished wood plaques from Hobby Lobby (gotta love their printable 40% off coupons online), he nails them with 5/8 nails (with heads), puts a claw picture hanger on the back, spray paints the wood and nails, and then strings them. Blessings, Angela
  17. My son's string art has been featured on this string art blog. I love their website because it has the coolest string art patterns, and the finished product is great for a Christmas gift. (DS 10yr, is making them for gifts this year for grandparents, aunts, and uncles.) Just thought I'd share my proud moment. Blessings, Angela
