  1. Pocket full of therapy http://www.pfot.com/ Achievement products http://www.achievement-products.com/?domainredirect=true&
  2. I also liked it, mainly because it explicitly teaches writing skills. Color coding makes the topics concrete, which makes them easier to learn. I liked the emphasis on organization and using an outline. I borrowed the teacher’s manual which was huge and overwhelming to read. However, if your co-op is teaching this, you shouldn’t have to worry about that. I’ve also collected a lot of free resources of examples and how to implement the program. Let me know if you want me to email them to you
  3. Wieser Educational has books that are high interest at your son's reading level: http://www.wiesereducational.com/index.php?params%5Bsearch_text%5D=mystery&section=search_results
  4. I’m homeschooling a highschooler who has LD and Asperger’s. I plan on keeping him home an extra year or two because I think he will need it. My son wants to go into computers, so I’m trying to focus on having him take classes that will prepare him for that. My son struggles with writing and math. He has a slow processing speed and his working memory isn’t too great. It is indeed a challenge.
  5. I donate them now. I used to try selling or consigning them, but it was a lot of work for little return.
  6. I also think you handled it well. Some people are so bitter and complain about everything. It’s doubtful that she will change her ways. Perhaps your friend has learned that there’s nothing she can say to her to make her change and has learned to not take anything she says personally.
  7. I’ve also noticed that. Some around here that I have heard lately include: Evelyn, Lucy, Eleanor, Greta, Lydia, Vivian, Helen, Oscar, Abram, Henry, Asa, Walter.
  8. Where is your sister? Can she help? Does she want any of this clutter or is it all going?
  9. No, nothing went wrong that I could tell. They made chicken and were with us until about 7:30 when the wife excused herself to get dinner prepared.
  10. We were invited over to a friends house for dinner and were asked to be there at 4:30. Dinner was not served until 8 pm! We were starving. If we have people over for dinner, I usually serve it within a 1/2 hour.
  11. 1. I don't think that is necessary, but might be helpful for some. 2. pics-definitely. Video-no. I rarely watch videos. I like pics and text. 3. yes
  12. Aniella Kendella Katriella Marisella Graciella Briella Annabell Daniella
  13. Many gluten free items are cheaper on Amazon. Every once in awhile I get a coupon from them for $10 off which is also helpful. I always spend more than $25 so shipping is free.
  14. I love his book too and his tv show, Enough Already. I like how he has the clients state what their vision is for their room and life. As they're going through the items, if something doesn't fit into their vision, it goes. He also says something like 80-90% of everything has to go. He makes people sort quickly and if they take too long to decide, it goes. Another stategy he has is to take all your hanging clothing in your closet and reverse the hangers at the start of the sesaon. When you wear something, you return it with the hanger facing the correct way. At the end of the season, get rid of all clothes that you haven't worn (the reversed hangers). Daily purging- take 10 minutes every day: five to straighten up and five more to purge. Anything that hasn't been used in the last 6 mon-1 year go. Utensils- put them all in a cardboard box. When you use one, put it in the drawer. At the end of the month, get rid of anything left in the box.
  15. We eat dinner together almost every night. If the weather is nice and it’s light out, we’re outside (playing, hiking, gardening). In the winter and on rainy nights, we hang out and talk, read, play board games, watch a movie, play with Legos or some other toy, etc.
  16. I would advise counseling also. Having a newborn is stressful and things might look better for them in a year. You say he’s not a bad person, but it’s not always possible to know what has been going on in a marriage. Is it possible that he has been abusive or cheating and you don’t know about it?
  17. You’ve received some wonderful ideas: Grocery store (Talk to the produce manager and ask when he’ll have apple and other produce boxes available.) Liquor stores –they’re not the biggest boxes, but they are great for moving books Here are some other ideas: Print and copy centers Toy store Target, wal-mart, etc.
