  1. Not CC, but "It's a Beautiful Day", Michael Buble "I Don't Love You Anymore", Teddy Pendergrass
  2. Seriously? Who scolds someone for their food or drink choices? I wish gastro upset on all of them.
  3. My dad is a barista at SB. It is a limited time drink-very limited for her SB as they ran out of supplies before the end of the day yesterday! And yes, the staff is happy when it sells out. It takes more time, and when people at drive through order 5 for their car full of teens and teens, it is profitable but makes everyone else in line cranky.
  4. Our second labradoodle is 5. She is the.best.dog! Our first doodle shed a tiny bit as she was longer haired and first generation but still caused no issue for our dog-allergic guy. Our current girl doesn't shed. Grooming is needed about every 5-6 weeks, and I brush her a couple of times in the interim. Ears do need to be kept clean, as with any floppy-eared dog. Housebreaking took no time at all, and she is extremely bright. She loves to search and find, so we play a lot of scavenger hunt to challenge her. Behavioral training also easy, with the usual puppy moments. My sister has a goldendoodle the same age who is quite sweet, but not bright AT ALL :001_huh: so check the parents out and see what their behavior tells you. As far as energy, my first labradoodle was the most chill dog I've ever had. Current doodle definitely higher energy, but not annoyingly so. Current girl also very into toys, and will sort through her little basket of toys to figure out what she wants to play with. If everybody is busy, she will throw her toys in the air and catch them to entertain herself. She loves other dogs, thinks cats that wander in the yard are most likely friends who decided to drop by unannounced. I would have another labradoodle in a heartbeat, and I recommend them whenever we are asked.
  5. Another thought: My daughter had similar symptoms twice. Both times the diagnosis was Synovitis. I hope your little feels better quickly!
  6. Praying. Please know there are many of us who are not active on the forums who are also praying for your little one in many little corners of the world.
  7. Will pass on the electrial/mechanical maintenance idea! Thank you : )
  8. So it's not just me? That's a relief. My youngest son I think of as my Peter Pan. He has done some community college, gets great grades, but loathes it. Every semester I do all the paperwork, get him registered and pay the bill. But I am feeling done with it until/unless he makes the decision to get after it. He is not registered for the upcoming semester. Has a pt job, but not something that will grow or give him great marketable skills. And he is good with it. I am worn out having the "so what's the plan" conversation. The answer is always along the line of "I like to work with my hands, fix things, not sure what, hate school, I don't know". Says he would like to have a shop and "fix things". What things? He doesn't know. And that isn't even touching on the expense and difficulties in owning a small business. He is truly a lovely young man, but one of the big reasons we homeschooled was anxiety. That is much improved, but still exists and things off schedule or out of the comfort zone bring response that shows me we are not as far from the anxiety as I would hope. Also on spectrum, so social interactions have expanded, but are still limited by choice/comfort. Soooo...now what? I am asking him to research options. Technical school? Apprenticeship? Even unpaid internships to explore new areas would be welcome. But, as I said, he is good as is, so unless I push and push it is not going anywhere. This thread is comforting to me, and reminds me that there are many paths and he has to find his. Just not happening in the timeline I would like.
  9. I would ask the agent to come back with her painter and tell you what they are going to do to resolve it.
  10. We live in a lake area, mustiness is common. I have bags of activated charcoal around (under couches, in closets etc) and it does help with the odor. Addressing the dampness is separate and there are lots of good suggestions above.
  11. Another vote for chest x-ray for pleural effusion. A family member ended up in ER after weeks of similar symptoms, x-ray showed pneumonia and effusion that had clearly been going on quite awhile. If the shortness of breath has worsened, plz consider the ER I hope you find answers and relief soon!
  12. I would always lean towards a barn where the riders learn to tack and groom the horses. IMO it makes them better connected to the horses, more informed as to what the horse's reactions can be and just better riders. My dd is a theraputic riding instructor and also teaches "typical" lessons and groups (Girl Scouts etc) and camps, headed to college in Fall for animal-assisted therapy and equine therapeutic riding, so my knowledge is purely based upon our own experiences. I hold horses, whisper sweet nothings, and hand out lots of treats. ; )
  13. We have our second labradoodle. She is second generation. My son is allergic to dogs, our labradoodles have been great for him. My girl is now 3 1/2, so she is still young and torn between the lab energy and the desire to live life curled on the cool tile floor. She is playful and fun and adorable, and the smartest dog I have had. Easily trained, plays well with other dogs, people friendly to a fault, neither of my doodles were ever destructive in or out of the house. Overall, these have been the best dogs for us and really super family pets. That is our experience, fwiw. I hope you have a similar experience with the rescue, and he finds a permanent home quickly. What a great thing to do!
  14. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: My youngest dd is a high school senior this year. Just the thought of next summer's preparations for college take my breath away. And she's my fourth. But my only girl. My baby girl. My teeny tiny peanut girl. She's just a baby... When you need to, come by here and yell it out!
  15. I am praying for you and your Squishy, for permanence and peace. Please keep us updated, and know many thoughts are with you during these days. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  16. I came to the forum with a very similar question a few years ago. Puppy went back, we got a new pup and she is wonderful. What it came down to for me was my gut. Like you, we have had pups and trained them from early on, so the red flags I saw (honestly, from the second day), I had to trust. The biting was beyond puppy norms. The growling was beyond puppy norms. The reactions were just not reasonable given the situations.Whatever this puppy needed, we were not it. Listen to your instincts.
  17. Throughout all of this, I have wondered if Anna knew or suspected at some point that something was going on. I am not of the belief that "the wife knows or chooses not to know", but given his admitted obsession with porn/sex and the double life he was leading, I have to imagine the pressure in their household was intense even prior to all of this coming to light. I just feel for her, as life cannot be easy as his wife. '
