  1. :grouphug: :iagree: Been there, heard that one too. :)
  2. :iagree: With the group I facilitate the guidelines include having participants refrain from focusing on the differences of religious/political/educational philosophies/beliefs during monthly meetings, field trips or outings. I ask them to focus on the common factor which brings us together: homeschooling. During our time together the goal is to stay on topic/be focused, whether the discussion is about "top curriculum picks" or taking a tour through the Jelly Belly Factory. If they want to chat about these issues, it needs to be done outside of the group, on their own time. :)

  9. Emmanuel Books www.emmanuelbooks.com sells a curriculum called "Little Saints: A Catholic Preschool Program With Classical Disciplines" which we enjoyed using. It is labeled preschool, but fits more into the category of a kindergarten program. If you would like can you can read my review at www.amazon.com :) Congratulations on your adoption!
  10. Here is my take on Awana... Each church has their own "take" on how to implement the program. Our church uses the basic outline, while making the program interactive/relational amongst the members through teaching time, games, worship (music) and small group time. The group at my in-laws church used a more rigid format, focusing on fundamental Biblical principles and Scripture memorization. It will be interesting to see what others post. By the way I looked at your photography website. Love your portfolio! :)
  11. It depends on my mood. Some days I like it plain. Other days I like to flavor it with strawberry syrup to make it pink. :)
  12. I've been thinking about you and your dad this past week. How are you both doing? :grouphug::)
  13. This week's question is, "Do you drink your milk plain or do you flavor it?" :)
  14. :grouphug: along with prayers for you. :)

  16. With BF you have two options: 1. Purchase the literature packages. 2. Purchase the study guide and then check books out from the local public library. Initially we purchased the Early American History Primary package. It was well worth it. With Early American History Intermediate we decided to purchase a few of the books/studyguide and use the public library alongside. :)
