  1. He hasn't been outside in approx 6wks, but when we did bring him in, he did look a little rough. That is the main reason I do not want him outside any longer-I don't want him hurt nor do I want another cat hurt. No bumps/lumps anywhere that DH or I could find, and we have been all over his little body. And I do mean little-he is a small adult male cat. I wish I had photos of his eyes, but he sees the camera and shys away. They are gold but the one eye has brown flecks in it, has since day one. Recently it has gotten more and more flecks in it, could this be something? Thank you both and I will update as soon as we know something. I have googled until my fingers hurt and can't find anything. He just may be a medical mystery, just like J has been.
  2. Our almost 4yr old kitty isn't feeling well :( He isn't eating much, maybe 1/2 can of people Tuna over the past 24hrs. He did use the litter box while we were out today. He is jumping onto our deep freeze (where his bed is) and off of it just fine. He is not crying in pain nor is bothered when we pet him. However if you go to pick him up, he hangs on for dear life. Yesterday we noticed he was not putting his head down to rest, today he is. We are calling the vet in the morning, but until then, anyone have any ideas? Oh, he *was* an outdoor kitty but about 6wks ago, we brought him inside because there is another male kitty that Tiger doesn't like.
  3. I honestly do not want to spend $100 on a Spanish curriula  I have never spent more than $60 on *any* curricula. J is a very visual child, so a DVD based would be perfect and would help with pronuciations as well. Any recs? Thanks so much! :D
  4. If a child is consenstintly (forgive my spelling-my eyes are tired) after age 7yrs, it needs to be adressed. This per everything I have read and what our OTs have also stated.
  5. This is what I do as well. I don't *always* wear dresses or skirts, but well over 80% of the time you will find me in a dress or a skirt. FWIW, I HATE nightgowns and refuse to wear them.
  6. Yep, like others have said it has a weird texture and flavor-but to each their own. Some people LOVE it, others not so much. My wedding cake was done entirely in buttercream, it was AMAZING! My sister's fondant covered...it was VERY pretty as well, but VERY simple. Different tastes in both terms of how we wanted our cakes to look and how we wanted them covered. My son is an aspiring baker-he wants to learn how to use fondant and make it taste *good*. He even wants to make fondant decorations for his cupcakes. Lucky me :tongue_smilie:
  7. If I were in your position, I would have the steriod shots and do an amino at 36wks to see if the lungs are mature and then deliver if possible. J was a 36wkr, we had GI problems from the beginning (I feel it had NOTHING to do with his gestation however) and jaundice. I had my steriod injections at 30wks-his lungs were PERFECT at birth! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
  8. I will pass your story on to my sister, whom has had 2 miscarriages back-to-back after a perfectly wonderful pregnancy with her daughter. She is looking for all the positive stories she can hold on to. OP-Sticky baby vibes and many prayers for a healthy pregnancy.
  9. Your child's OT should be able to help determine the weight needed. I tried to make J one and :001_huh::lol: Instead he just piles on the blankets, including an old wool one.
  10. Target :D Now that the weather is getting warmer, you may not be able to find something however. They sold it in the bigger boys section, starting at size XS/4. They did not have the pants though-I will order a pair of under-armour for J this next fall. J LOVES his!!!!
  11. Hormones, or the lack there-of in the case of menopause and peri-menapause (as is in the case for myself) does *lovely* things to your body. Including sore breast and cycle changes, isn't it nice :glare:
  12. :iagree: We are in a similar position and we do whatever it takes to get the calories in. If that would mean a bottle, so be it. :grouphug: Momma.
  13. :iagree: There are no ifs ands or buts about a fever that high in this house. We are out the door-no matter what we have been doing, are doing or have plans to do. A fever that high is nothing to mess around with.
  14. I am *very* girlie! Always have my toe nails painted, love having a french manicure. Hair is almost always done when I go out. I do wear it in a hat sometimes, but I still have make-up on. I wear dresses 9/12 months of the year, with cute sandals. I wear pearl earings every.day. no matter what. Always have my necklace on-even when I go to the pool. I will say however it takes me an entire 5 minutes to do my make-up. I personally do not feel good if I walk out of the house in sweat pants and not even lip gloss on.
  15. Um, I have 7 pair of sandals alone :o 2 pair of dressy boots 1 pair of sneakers 1 pair of black heels 1 pair of white heels (that have only been worn three times-each on Easter) 3? pair of cheap-o flip-flops that I wear to the pool *Edited to add* Just got in my closet to get sandals for Mass tonight...forgot I had 2 pair of Ballet Flats as well. Also found a pair of Birkenstocks and a pair of open heeled Keds. And I am looking for another pair of dressy but with a nice heel sandal for Easter this year. Yes, I am addicted to sandals :o
  16. [quote name=strider;2515391 And if they do not have one for you' date=' THEY need to pay for a truck from another company. :iagree: We were upgraded U-Hauls when we moved from W.Va to AL because the size we orginally rented was not available because it had some mechanical problems. They also threw in blankets and the dolly free of charge since we had to wait on the other truck.
  17. 2hrs of OT weekly for now. We are trying to get his ST started for his CAPD but *wow* is the ST where we go booked solid and there are other children whom are non-verbal that are taking what slots she does have open. We do 40-60minutes of Therapuetic Listening 5 days/week as well. He does 20minutes of HWOT daily as well.
  18. http://highland.hitcho.com.au/readingassessment.pdf Hope this helps!
  19. Not really, but I did a reading level assement and found out that J can read on a 5th Grade reading level. We already knew he was an advanced speller but honestly since he doesn't *like* to read, we had no idea he was reading so well.
  20. This is what we are doing with J, after literally months of trying to cement addition facts with no avail.
  21. In a heartbeat I would have the girls lifted-not inflated but lifted.
  22. Honestly, I just enjoyed getting my hair done and getting to wear pretty dresses. I still like dressing up in nicer clothing and having my hair done. I could have cared less about winning, it was all about the dresses and hair. I never payed attention to others-not my worry at 6/7yrs old.
  23. I did pagents in elementary school-never glitz though. LOVED them! Tried to do them as I got older but I could never get the registration fees for them (state level, $$$) as my parents were not going to pay for them, so I had to find sponsors. Not even the owner of a car dealership would put up $ for a high glitz pagent, that is how hated they were in the area I grew up in at the time.
  24. This is one of my as well. I told J that he has to have two girls and name them Isobel and Zofia. Then a little boy and name him Jakob. J was either going to be a Sarah Elisabeth or Paige Elisabeth as DH nixed Kadie Scarlett, Isobel, Zofia and Emma.
