Would you mind sharing a little more about what you are using to do a little deeper studying with BJU Heritage Studies 1? I plan to use it with my first grader this year.
Thank you,
Dixie
I am looking for book suggestions for a 6 year old girl to read. She has just finished Kindergarten and is reading fairly well.
I have 3 older boys so the majority of my book purchases over the years have been geared toward boys. I need to do a little shifting here in my thinking and start purchasing some books geared more toward girls as I currently have one reading and another one coming behind her.
Thank you!

This Activity Pak looks like it might go along the composers course I bought from Bright Ideas Press. I bought a Young Scholar's Guide to Composers. http://brightideaspress.com/YSGComposers.htm

There are 60 lessons in Heritage Studies 1, 62 lessons in Heritage Studies 2, and 70 lessons in Heritage Studies 4. You could finish it over the course of a school year by doing it 2 to 3 times per week.

If the family literature guides were available for purchase separate from the program, I would be interested in purchasing them. The complete program price is definitely out of my range.

I have purchased EduTrack to use for this coming school year. I am hoping it will be what I need. :)

Did anyone purchase recordings of any of the sessions from Midwest Homeschool Convention? There are some sessions I would like to purchase recordings of, but I do not know where to go to do so. If you did purchase recordings, what company did them?
Thank you,
Dixie
I've not used it, but I plan to look at it during homeschool convention next weekend. I'm considering it for my daughter who will be entering first grade in the fall.
I don't believe there is a difference between what is offered on the NAC website and what Memoria Press offers. On the NAC site, it says that it is published by Memoria Press.
I believe the program is relatively new, but I am interested in hearing others' thoughts if they have used it.

I, too, have a boy that is 8 years old who loves to read. Just this week, he read Twenty and Ten, Snow Treasure, and Brave Buffalo Fighter. He also enjoys reading The Three Investigators Series.

I've done some more looking around and I think that First Form by Memoria Press or Latin Alive from Classical Academic Press may work for us. I am hoping that I will be able to look at these at convention in a couple of weeks. I trust you are able to find something that will work for you.:)
