  1. When you add Truthquest to your rotation, do you line up MOH with TQ? They don't have MOH listed as one of their spines, correct? Or do you just do both in the order it is written? I think I will probably do as you suggested and just start both MOH and the Guerber books at the beginning together. Thank you for your reply. Dixie:)
  2. I am looking for a schedule combining Guerber Books (The Story of the Ancient World, The Story of the Greeks, and The Story of the Romans) with Mystery of History I. If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Dixie:001_smile:
  3. Cindy, Thank you very much for your reply. :001_smile: After much searching online, we ended up with a house around Plymouth, MA. I think we will be really happy with it. If we get north of Boston, is there any one town and/or beach that you would recommend over the others, or anything you think is not to be missed around Boston? We have five children - almost 11 and under and we all love to visit historical places. We do plan to visit Plimoth Plantation while we are there. I hope you get to visit north of Boston again soon! It sounds like you really enjoyed your time there. Thank you, Dixie
  4. We are looking for a rental cottage along the ocean north of Boston. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Dixie
  5. Christine, Thank you so much for your reply. It is looking like I need to implement writing across the curriculum on a weekly basis. Now to come up with a set plan in order to make sure it happens. This will be one busy year with a 5th grader, 4th grader, 2nd grader, Kindergartener, and a Preschooler. Thank you again for your time and help. Dixie:)
  6. Christine, How much additional writing per week do you add to make it enough? I will be working with a 5th grader and am unsure as to how much to require of him. He is definitely a reluctant writer. Also, thank you for sharing your R & S English lesson plans. They will be very helpful to me this year as I work through three different levels of R & S English with my 3 boys. Thank you, Dixie:001_smile:
  7. We are about finished with book 1 and as a rule have done each one in a single sitting. There have been a few times when I have split it over two days. I have allowed 30 minutes twice a week for dictation throughout the 2nd half of the book. HTH Dixie
  8. I use a 3 ring binder and print it a lesson at a time. It has worked well this year. I three hole punch the lesson and put it in the front of the binder and then as he completes the pages, he will file them under the appropriate sections. HTH Dixie
  9. Thank you all for your replies. I believe we will be going with Lively Latin. Dixie
  10. I do not have a Latin background and I am looking for some advice in regards to what program to use with my soon to be fourth grader. I am trying to decide between Lively Latin or Latin for Children and would appreciate a comparison of the two from someone who has a little more background than me. Thank You! Dixie
  11. Does anyone have a reading schedule that utilizes these books either alone or alongside another history curriculum? I, too, am interested in these books. Thank You! Dixie
  12. You can look at samples of the tests at Christianbook.com. I will try and link - SOTW I Test Samples. Dixie :001_smile:
  13. Jessica, Another example that I have seen used to explain the Trinity is the egg. HTH. Dixie
  14. I ordered some things online from BJUP the other day and received free shipping. I didn't see anything about a free shipping offer but it came up as free when I checked out. I don't know why or what the qualifications are but you might try it and see. OhElizabeth - The Indy and Cincinnati conventions are on two different weekends this year. Dixie
