You can find AG used. I posted in the WTB on this board and on vegsource and found the teacher's manual and the student book like new from 2 different sellers and saved quite a bit. HTH

I would go with Analytical Grammar. I used Rod and Staff in the past and will be using AG now.

Does anyone have access to the teacher component of the Cengage site for Spielvogel. If so, how do you get it? To apply as a teacher they only give school option. Is there another site that does the same? I thought someone had posted a link some time ago and I cannot find it. Thanks for sharing.

Florida Lisa has posted about this. This is what she did last year for her co-op. There are several threads where she has talked about it. Recently, she posted in response to a thread "searching for govt. and economics resources for a co-op".

The only number I can find on it is Reorder number: 70-957G. It is an AT-A-Glance weekly/monthly planner. It has tabs on the side for each month. Has the complete calendar month then a 2 page spread for each week. M-Sun going accross the top and from 7a.m.-9p.m. going down the page. It is 81/2 x 11. You don't have to watch the entire DVD. You can watch this lesson first and then go back. It is lecture 7--The Master Schedule--Planning for Success. Hope that helps.

I went to the link. The only thing is that the free printable does not have the time. After much research, last week I gave in and used a coupon to buy the student at-a glance weekly/monthly planner at Staples to match what he uses on the lecture. Thanks for the link.

The point of the planner for the student is to teach them time management. In the Teaching Company lecture, the professor talks about the students getting to college and not being able to manage it at all. Too many deadlines. I strongly recommend this if you can find it at your library. He teaches them to use a planner to be able to plan ahead for deadlines in the future. To be able to see when they have free time and schedule working on different projects. This would mean scheduling your extra curricular activities into your weekly planner because these are time commitments that you will not have available for other things.

I just bought my son the Student AT-A-Glance weekly/monthly planner at Staples. It goes with the school year--from July through June 2010. We watched the Teaching Company's How to be a Superstar Student DVD and are trying to implement what he has learned and get into a routing of using a planner.

According to Debra Bell, in her book "The Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling", it may have an impact on scholarships. When talking about her daughter that took 5 AP tests and the University of Pittsburgh awarded her 24 credits and sophomore standing, she states "her high scores on these tests were also a contributing factor in her selection as a Presidential Scholar (five year full-tuition scholarship)."

Jan, there is a very good math tutor in our area that uses and recommends Keys to Algebra. What do you think? I have never personally used her. However, friends that I trust and whose children have had issues like those described above have used her.

Don't you have certified teachers in your local support groups that will provide the letter of evaluation based on a portfolio review--a review of schoolwork done through the year? In the State of Florida testing is not even required. Even when you test, we advise that test scores not be sent in directly to the county. We encourage to take test scores to someone that will provide the letter.

We did. You just need to finish Zeta. Pre-algebra is just a review of concepts. Video Text Algebra includes said review.

I just received my copy today! Looking forward to using it.
