  1. Great thread! We are on our 4th year with TOG. We are currently doing year 1. Each time through, I appreciate the LG level more and more. 💗 It has made a HUGE difference in my ability to instruct the other levels. I love TOG so much that I am actually running a grammar level online coop next year!
  2. So far: TOG year 2 SOTW 2 and 3 MUS Gamma
  3. Would love to join you all late ☺ï¸
  4. Either way will work great! No stress. We used TOG for year 4, which does a great job with lower ages. SOTW is for the older ones using TOG. (It's an alternative text option)
  5. The rules? 1. Must be secular. 2. Its for grades 1, 3, and 5. I am also homeschooling a 8th grader, preschoolers, K4, and newborn 😜 Items can cross over age groups. What would you get? Some music lessons, field trips, etc count. Also school supplies. Each child can get 1 tech items year. I am especially interested in science recommendations. We currently use TOG, MUS, and other things fluctuate. I am Charlotte Mason inspired. Excited to see what you all come up with! ☺ï¸
  6. Hmmm what about task cards? Like these: http://www.creekedgepress.com/site/2640d601cef2494cb6a54845eed17943/home?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcreekedgepress.com%2F#2634
  7. Both are beautiful programs. I decided to move to TOG just because it was easier with my large family. I still won't sell my HOD and MFW stuff and reference it every so often. ☺ï¸
  8. We will be on our 5th year of using TOG in 2015-16. I love it! I am currently using year 1 with a k, 2, 4, and 7....plus 3 tag alongs 😜
  9. I can't believe my little lady will be a 1st grader!!! 😳 Decided so far: CM language arts with random early readers mixed in and Mc Guffys TOG year 2 (covers history, geography, some writing, literature, arts/activities, and music studies) MUS Beta and SM 1a/b Thinking about Creek Press Task cards for science. More to be decided...
  10. All my middle school aged kids used SOTW with additional resources. None of them thought it was too young. They enjoyed remembering stories from our first round and building on them.
