kfeusse
My son is 15 and has up to nothing on his Christmas list. He likes to play most sports, but isn't on a team. He plays the trumpet and likes that. He isn't a big reader. He doesn't like to play many games (and we have more than what we need anyway). I request non-electronic ideas because he has all he needs right now.....and I would really like to steer away from that if possible. So, please...any ideas for me?? whitestavern
Skis? I have a 15yo ds as well, and that's what we're doing. One can usually use clothes, too, but I realize that isn't very exciting. A mag subscription? Mine loves Make magazine.

mmasc
the softcover trumpet case is interesting...are they usually padded...so it would be protected in case it bumped something? Yes, lightly padded. So there’s protection against bumping, tossing in the car, etc. Obviously, not like a hardcover, but quite good with a little care. They’re slim, lightweight, and hands-free. I had one as a teen and loved it! They’re called gig bags.
