scbusf
I would like to get an espresso machine for making lattes at home. I think I would say my budget is under $200. I’ve looked on Amazon, but I get overwhelmed very quickly! I just want one that makes basic espresso and steams milk. Any recommendations????? ( I do have a great drip coffee machine already, but I’m open to a combo machine if that fits in the budget.)
Arctic Bunny
My Cuisinart espresso machine served me very well until I decided I wanted to grind the beans myself and ended up spending a lot more money…. But the original machine was just a basic Cuisinart, and it was perfect for what I wanted - espresso and steamed/frothy milk.
Tree Frog
Is Nespresso an expresso machine? If so, both of my girls really like them. My older dd just gave one to my younger dd as a move in gift. If you want more details, I'll ask them.
Bootsie
I would look into DeLonghi machines. We have an automatic espresso machine, so higher price range, but we love it. We did have an issue with a gasket leaking after a few years and DeLonghi's customer service was great about troubleshooting and fixing the problem for now charge. Carol in Cal.
I keep looking at these—they just seem so elegant and functional. https://www.taylorandng.com/stovetop-espresso-makers.html
Laura Corin
My Delonghi has been fine. We also have one at work that has lasted at least five years - at least five cups a day.
popmom
Following… My youngest dd loves iced lattes. Since we’ve had to cut back on our McCafe drive thru iced lattes, we’re wondering how to make them at home. Any recommendations? I mean she’s fine with cold brew, but apparently it’s not quite the same. 🙂 I’m not a coffee drinker, so I’m clueless.

Over 1000 of those have been with milk (capuccino, latte, or flat whites)
MEmama
We use our Breville quite a bit. Very happy with it.
dsmith
Dh sent me this link about a DeLonghi machine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au92VvBYLrA I currently have a Nespresso and an illy iperesspresso machine, but I really would love a steam wand on a machine and to get away from pods. Personally, I would add the recommended upgrade for better crema.
