ProudGrandma
I found in the bottom of my freezer a package of minute steaks. They are from 2019....and have been frozen this whole time....but the meat is brown....so is that just freezer burn? Will it be safe to eat? What do you guys think? Even if it is safe to eat (I have no idea), it doesn't sound like I'd want to eat it.

A little freezer burn would not slow him for a second. Bill ETA: Desmond (kitty) on the other hand, forgetaboutit. KatieJ
It’s probably very fine to eat, but freezer burned which would not taste great. You could cook it into stew or something Thst cooks a long time to get it tender …if you can’t bring yourself to toss it.
Clemsondana
Things that stay frozen are not likely to go bad in a way that makes you sick. Sometimes things get freezer burned and aren't very tasty. Other times they can be prepared in a way that covers it up, like with a sauce.
Carrie12345
100% safe. 99% sure not yummy.
J-rap
I'd save it and put it into a stew, cooked on low heat for several hours (or in a slow cooker), with lots of flavorful herbs, red wine, and chopped onion. Add veggies like carrots and potatoes and parsnips, and maybe some chopped parsley near the end.
Tap
I am with Bill. My dog would gobble it up. I hate to waste food, and she would be elated to have it. Win Win Personally I would thaw, chop it in to cubes or grind it, lightly cook and give to my dog. I know a lot of people give completely raw meat to dogs, but I prefer to cook it a bit first.
