Who’s going to tackle Tuesday with me?

Hi. Four hours to find out what I already knew- I have kidney stones. Saw a nurse practitioner- she was young. I had to explain some basic things to her. I also had to explain to her why I could not do the pain control things that she wanted me to do since they were contraindicated. She had ny chart right there explaining why-  which is why I normally only see specialists who understand complicated patients. But she checked for infection and I had that ruled out which is what I really needed.

Now I am on the cusp of getting really really sick. My body has been really stressed by the kidney stone pain and lack of sleep and I can feel my immune system giving up which is not good. My exercise goals are on “pause”.

Not sure what will get done today

(((Jean))).  I hope you are feeling better soon.

Today is the last day before the crazy hits.  Tomorrow I have cleaning people and window washers coming, then Thursday the photographer comes, and the house goes on the market just as soon as the photos can be edited and uploaded.

-coffee
-DS17 off to school
-get DS14 situated
-work as teacher assistant 8-12

-stop at grocery store for a few things
-finish up last minute things on my big house list
-straigthen up for cleaning people
-laundry
-plan a few days of meals that are (1) whole30 compliant, and (2) won't leave my kitchen a mess

-dinner (probably a quiche or something very simple like that)
-fall asleep on the couch at 7:30 pm like I did last night...

Good morning!

Jean, many hugs. I hope you are able to rest and stave off getting sick, and I hope the kidney stones resolve as easily as possible.

Pink and Green, the thought of getting my house ready to sell makes me want to crawl in a hole and hibernate - so I am in awe of all the work you are doing! I hope your house sells quickly!

  • school w/dd
  • office work (bills, go through email, more insurance)
  • get check ready for hay guy
  • take Tiberius to vet at 10:30 for checkup & shots, pick up Heartgard & cat food
  • cancel one horse's supplement order & order more of his medicine from compound pharmacy
  • order care packages to send the boys during finals week
  • work on Christmas shopping
  • fill big water tank
  • vacuum & mop main floor
  • get out Christmas bins from basement and see if we have enough lights for tree
  • dinner: veggie miso soup, and might make some veggie wraps with pickled hummus to go with
  • read tonight

Good morning! Jean, I hope you can recover as quickly as possible. Pink and Green, you have done an amazing amount of work! Dd2 leaves today- I hope she has a good meet, but historically this meet has been very average for my girls. dh leaves tomorrow...I love driving to the airport. dd2 has a long call before lunch with a coach and has picked up all her homework or had it emailed.

  • coffee/paper
  • letters/bills/calendar
  • school with ds3
  • phone call with dr (at least he didn't make me go in to talk about renewing my prescription)
  • write
  • drive dd2 to airport
  • home to take ds3 to tennis
  • errands/bank/library
  • pick up ds3
  • some kind of dinner

Have a great day!

Jean - sorry you are sick & hurting. Hope you can get relief

Pink & Green - hope all goes smoothly

I have been slacking in housekeeping & meals. Nothing is gross dirty (kept up with laundy, dishes & bathrooms) and nobody is starving but I am not doing the extra I need to be doing.

  • meal plan
  • present list
  • work on junk spot

Last night (same old story) I went to bed a bit early with the thought of getting up early, which did not really happen, but at least I got some sleep.

  • Up at 6am to wake kid so she could finish homework.
  • Help kid with homework or it would not have been finished on time.
  • Other kid up.
  • Kids off to the school bus on time, yay, with band instruments and gym stuff.
  • A little cleaning.
  • Work discussion.
  • Catch up with work / personal emails, social media, news.
  • AHG stuff.

To do:

  • Lots of work.
  • Bills.
  • Calendar.
  • Filing.
  • Driver will take kid 1 to horse riding and pick up kid 2 from basketball practice.
  • Kids' work - homework and music practice.
  • Kids to bed.
  • Work.

((Jean!)) I hope you get some relief quickly and can rest. Praying for you.

Pink and Green, you are amazing! I could never do all that you are doing. Hoping your house sells quickly and without snafus!

I have declared today an errand day, so Ds and I will be headed out for the day in an hour or so. Math, piano, monlogue practice, then we are outta here.

  • Errands/shopping
  • Science class for Ds - take teacher gift!
  • Shower/change for tonight
  • Do something about dinner for kids and me. Dh can eat leftovers at home.
  • Help set up for performance night at Dd's tutorial
  • Take my mom home after the performance
  • Prep for tomorrow, another crazy busy day!

(((Jean)))

Okay. I've had a lot hanging over my head lately but tackled some of it yesterday. Today I just need to keep going.

  • School
  • Laundry - Ensure that DS finishes his load; put away odds and ends
  • Unload dishwasher and start cleaning cycle
  • Lunch
  • Vacuum kitchen mat and living room (bonus: do some upstairs, too?)
  • Clean out fridge
  • Grocery list & shopping
  • Work on Christmas
  • Create a sign-up thingy for April event and email to team?
  • Reimbursement for scouts
  • Kitty litter
  • Dinner before scouts
  • Run dishwasher again
  • If DH takes DS to scouts--cookbook; paperwork for Monday; dust.

This keeps getting longer. 😕 To be continued.

Jen, good luck to your daughter at her meet tomorrow!

I have returned home from school and Publix.  I am sitting down for 15 minutes and then am not going to sit down again until all my work is done.  Once I sit down I have a hard time motivating myself to get back to work.

I'm happy with my kid right now.  She got done with all her homework and her shower before bedtime.  Her bag is packed and her clothes are laid out for tomorrow.  It may not sound like much, but it's not so easy for us these days.

Part of her science assignment was to write an opinion about embryonic stem cell research.  I was impressed with her response.  It started with "I have mixed feelings ...."
