Pink and Green Mom
Good morning. Today is opening day of the fall season of our Little League. DH is president so that means I have to help him pretty much all stinking day long at the concession stand. At least the kids don't have to help out this time. -coffee -concession stand (from about 8:30 am until 7:30 pm). Grrrrrr. -call with pediatrician at 2 pm to get details of school note for son's concussion -remain Whole30 compliant while working in the concession stand -collapse in a heap ETA: oh happy days!! I may have gotten out of snack bar duty. There are a bunch of kids there and my husband knows that while I am more than happy to help out I refuse to do it when the snack bar is full of other people's kids that I have to supervise (all they do is fight over who runs the register, LOL, and more than half of them do not know how to count back change to save their lives). So that leaves me free to: -do laundry -plan next few weeks of school -call LEGOLAND for homeschool tickets next week -go through my hurricane food and replenish/see what needs to be added/make a spreadsheet of expiration dates of stuff -clean out a shelf in the storage room Edited September 23, 2017 by Pink and Green Mom
scrapbookbuzz
Going on an edible garden tour - if you've ever heard of Jake Mace (find him on YouTube), he lives not too far from me and does tutorials a couple of times a year on how he turned his backyard into an edible garden, including fruit-bearing trees! It's beautiful! Then possibly going to a local library for a seed exchange. Early this afternoon, taking both kids to a friends house to play with her kids, while she and I chat. This evening I may make some salt/sugar scrub gifts that I'll be giving to our Womens Ministry leaders next weekend at our retreat. UPDATE to last statement: I may take a nap instead! ScoutTN
He settled down some. Another go in two weeks. Hopefully he will be more relaxed next time. She did get to see a bit of what he is often like, though. Interesting how many of the evaluation tools are school based. Some homeschool grad needs to develop assessment tools which assume a home learning environment rather than an institutional one. Laundry running Bathrooms clean Dd has done her school work Headed to the grocery and maybe get a haircut
Pink and Green Mom
PinkandGreen, how is your ds with the concussion? Thanks for asking - he is doing much better. A bit of a headache but not to the point where he needs Motrin so that is good. He is so bored without his phone or video games. I take the boredom as a sign he is feeling better....
SKL
Good day so far. Slept like normal people. Kids to first volleyball game of the season. Chatted with a mom friend. Finished our latest audiobook while driving. Kids to horse riding. Tried to work, but mostly ended up chatting. Lunch out (instead of our Friday dinner) - Olive Garden. Kids went shopping with Aunties, something I prefer to avoid. :) I stopped at the library and picked up some audiobooks. Due to a suspicious odor in my car, I decided to clean it out. I'm always amazed at how fast it gets trashed. Put away a bunch of clutter and cleaned the kitchen. A little reading. Work. To do: Lots more work. Laundry. Kids are supposed to do part of their homework / music practice. Kids showered & to bed; read-aloud.
